the best: Elvis Costello, New Years eve in NYC 1986,played a country set with john mcphee of the doobie brother (also was the orginal lead on Allison), then Steve Nieve just played piano till midnight, when the whole band joined in for a extra 1 1/2 hours. For any Costello fan, it was tour da force of little know songs and new material.

Saw them at the student's union in Dundee... always had singles sleeves with me to sign, so had a signed Statue Of Liberty. Saw some really great bands in those days...
