for calculations and lack of knowledge, i'll assume stuff, lol.
let's assume the plague kills a 1% of your army that is over 100mil
lets assuming you have a 480k total UP
now if you were at exactly 100mil army size, the next turn you would have 100mil + (10,000*.99) = 100,009,900 ; amount killed:100
the next turn you would have:
100mil + (19,900*.99) = 100,019,701 ; amount killed:199
then
100mil + (29,701*.99) = 100,039,404 ; amount killed:297
then
100mil + (39,404*.99) = 100,049,010 ; amount killed:394
so you can see after each turn, the amount killed is slowly rising, and under these calcs it's raising by roughly the same ammount
EDIT, the formula for how many units you lose per turn should be something like this
(army size + UP/48 - 100,000,000)*.01
so at a certain point i guess you would stop growing or shrinking, when that # is greater than or equal to UP/48...
meaning at a 480k UP you can only sustain about a 123mil army size

in some ways i think their should be a way to make lifers the main ones that die
ie in horrible conditions more likely to be affected by the plague etc
just my idea
