for calculations and lack of knowledge, i'll assume stuff, lol.
let's assume the plague kills a 1% of your army that is over 100mil
lets assuming you have a 480k total UP

now if you were at exactly 100mil army size, the next turn you would have 100mil + (10,000*.99) = 100,009,900 ; amount killed:100

the next turn you would have:
100mil + (19,900*.99) = 100,019,701 ; amount killed:199
then
100mil + (29,701*.99) = 100,039,404 ; amount killed:297
then
100mil + (39,404*.99) = 100,049,010 ; amount killed:394

so you can see after each turn, the amount killed is slowly rising, and under these calcs it's raising by roughly the same ammount

EDIT, the formula for how many units you lose per turn should be something like this

(army size + UP/48 - 100,000,000)*.01

so at a certain point i guess you would stop growing or shrinking, when that # is greater than or equal to UP/48...
meaning at a 480k UP you can only sustain about a 123mil army size :(

And you wonder why they call him fingers

It would be helpful if the rules were shall we say ...less fuzzy in appearance.

From my point of view the Plague rule is not clear, I had to go through the game updates to eventually understand the rule and to be honest I still don't think I understand it...

I Quote
"Plauge
Plague still happens above 2x the natural limit of 50,000,000 units per below. It now, though, kills a set number of units per turn (currently just over 2000) so effectively reduces your net UP while above 100Mil units...You CAN still grow over this limit, it is just a bit harder ...."

when I read this I thought "Ah if by some miracle I have an army over 100 mill, I will loose 2k units per turn until I'm back to 1 mill units"

that seemed straight forward until I read the earlier update

"There is now a plague that will hit a realm with double that limit. It will kill random units in the realm, until it is sanitary agian in the realm (ie there are less than double the cap). It takes between 20 and 30 days to kill enough population to return to the cap."

So what is the true math behind this and what is the real rule in math form.....

Plague bug fixed, but assasins still don't get ill, but thats minor problem (no thats not "miners")

In my humble opinion I think that miners shouldn't be affected (unless they are lifers) otherwise you could (in theory) end up with an army of untrainable Lifers and have no flexibility in your account

ok i have to agree lifers is becoming a major issue for me

in some ways i think their should be a way to make lifers the main ones that die

ie in horrible conditions more likely to be affected by the plague etc

just my idea

i agree, i think it should only kill lifers......

as i have 30mill of them and its becoming a big problem!!

How much is someone over 100mil suppose to lose a turn? Is it set at a percentage or army size or is it a set amount.

if you are over 100mil

then take your Overlimit, divide by 20 or 30 (Days).

thats how much ur meant to lose per day. after 20-30 days ur supposed to be back at 100mill army.

how does that allow for you to grow, as the update still says grow albeit at a slower rate.

the over-limit calculation doesnt take up into account, so if you have a up larger than the over-limit loss, you will grow...
