I think you're overlooking something:

Turn Income Production: x Naquadah (in 28 minutes)
Attack Turns x
Covert Capacity x
Now, if my username were []ev, or if there wasn't someone else with the username []ev, this would be fine would it? Let's not forget not everyone uses the same forum name as their ingame name. Does anyone remember the Daff1 and Daff business in the cheaters section? Who is to say I am who I say I am?
Often rules are there for good reasons, regardless of whether you can see them or not. That is not to say the above example is the only way the 'my stats rule' could lead to problems.
