For regular use, I don't see how they're so different... but IE is much simpler...
like many download managers only work for IE etc.
you need a lot of extensions on FF to do what IE can do..

IE 7? You must be kidding me - it is a s***y copy of FF. FF is more secure, it is customizable, it is good looking..and it pwns all the way!!!

I use FF as its not a microsoft product.... i hav to have windows but i can live with that
It's quicker, for me anyway, loading up websites and the initial start up of the application firefox is much faster. Another reason is the tab bar, so useful for links you use ALL the time... like SGW

and others...
It's safer, might not be because of protection, but less people try to hack their way into it. I've used internet explorer and nearly everytime the browser home page gets hacked and i cant get onto any other website... Firefox has never done that to me. Plus i like all the mods like videodownloader etc.
But IE is becoming more like FF (microsoft like said before in this thread likes to copy... nearly everything)

Every major Virus I have ever received on my computer has come through FF..
IE I feel is safer as anti virus software like I have running here
It actually tells me when an infection is going to happen unlike FF which my norton just tells me after I shut it down that I have a virus... So no I don't think I will ever like FF to be honest unless maybe the off chance that I have to run on a MAC
As for linux I have no problem with their servers...
Oh and yep I am running IE 6 cos well I think it runs faster then 7

its mostly because ppl install too many addons on Mozilla - those are hole through which spyware can attack your PC. Just use a good anti-virus and firewall- and you are safe

Actually, IE7 has more unpatched vulnerabilities than FF. I've never had any problems with viruses with FF. And doesn't that Norton Fraud Monitoring thingy work under FF too?
BTW: Norton AntiVir slows down the whole system like hell.
