its the smaller players who keep this game alive and growing
without them forum has less profit and ie doesnt have a reason to keep this game alive

hepls them a tiny bit, it is still hard for new players to go through ascending

I like it, not sure I'll use it much now though. Hope to see new realms.

It will drasticly slow the growth of anyone in pergatory so I myself don't see the point but I'll give it a chance.

I still don't see what is to prevent people from abusing this like the old vac mode. Simply burn all your turns attacking whoever you want and then run off to purgatory, where they can't get you back unless they chase after and waste turns. Then five days later they reappear buy turns and attack again, then hide, repeat. Especially with people who have high UPs and small army sizes.

Definitely needs a waiting period like vac mode.

I see lots of other potential abuse, but I'm not going to post them as I don't want others to get the ideas and not sure some of them are abuse vs. smart game play.

Well it hasn't even been out a day, it's gonna have problems with it. It'll get updated I'm sure many times before it's right. Your just all very impatient.

Yes, I already see the abuse radiating from this new update. People can now ascend with nice MS's, not have to worry about this which I think is bull. All us ascended players have lost hundreds of billions, probably trillions of nq on wasted MS's. Whats next, RAW UP will stay too?

Also this is just going to let people mass and run into this realm. Maybe forum should put up you can't enter this realm if you have attacked someone in 2 days.

You still lose about 2/3rd's of your investment in capacities when ascending.

To upgrade mothership weapons from 0 to 6000 will cost 180,030,000,000 Naquadah.
To upgrade mothership shields from 0 to 6000 will cost 216,036,000,000 Naquadah.

To upgrade mothership weapons from 6000 to 10000 will cost 320,020,000,000 Naquadah.
To upgrade mothership shields from 6000 to 10000 will cost 384,024,000,000 Naquadah.

As you get higher it goes up more obviously, but proportionally it stays the same(I think...)

Give the updates a chance.

i want someone who has gone in to tell what its like

raiding wont exist until lots of people go over and then go inactive im guessing....

its ok... but it looks like you cant raid people in main when your in pergatory realm so..... dont think many people will be going over...

Change always takes time to process.

Suggest we keep an open mind and post specific feedback for Forum.

OFF TOPIC:

Trying to reduce the gap between small and big players is usually healthy for any server. It makes the game fore competitive and interesting and it keeps the game alive in the long run. In the other hand, letting the server go its "natural way" and the big players grow as much as they can, makes games boring for both, small and big players. So, for me, any update that allow ppl to cath up, is a good idea until there is solid evidence that is really a bad idea

ON TOPIC:

1) The officer-commander relation still allow to send resorces from one server to the other, right? (in the forum of mercs). If that is the case then shouldn't the officer be dissmised if he goes to the Pergatory?

2) The abuse of the Pergatory to attack and hide could be solved by making the 5days of waiting work in both directions:
If u are in Pergatory u must wait 5 days to go back and if u are back from Pergatry u must wait 5 days go there again. Since u can buy only 4 days of PPT a week this will also avoid the jump from Pergatory, attack, then go to PPT, then hide in Pergatory.

meh, dont like it. to me that feature would be as useful as ascend button/technology tab (techs maxed out a long time ago). useless links ill never use

I also see too many ways to abuse purgatory. There should be a time restriction to enter like vacation mode.

And the 25mill army size cap to enter, should also force players out once they get to that point, that way people dont just stay in pergatory forever and we end up having bascially 2 servers and large players with a hundred million army size dominating the area that is supposed to be for newer players to attempt to build up with a bit less farming of their accounts.

I want to know, can you ascend while in Perg? Do you gain GnR? If you can ascend there, do you stay in there afterwards? Can you go on ppt while there? If your ascended do you still get your bonuses? If your ascended account gets descended, does it remove your from perg? Can you go on vacation mode in perg?

I am a tad dissapointed about the MS updates...my officer asscended today only a couple hours before it was released....oh well.

There have been some really good questions brought up. I believe we will get our answers, just give it time.
