dam that drink

I surpose i made this thread because i was told something last night about another SGW player, which brought back memories I have a friend I had in the Forces.

To cut a long story short, we were both doing the Field Gun crew trials, he made it I didn't, he even made it into the A Team ( anyone who knows what i am talking about knows how fit you have to be to get into this).

shortly after he went to the training camp, he had some lumps come up on his stomach, it was diagnosed as cancer. he had treatment & he returned to us after 6 months.

he went for the crew again the following year, got through, but only to find in the medical that the cancer had returned.

Now to get to why I posted, yes we all do play role play on these games, but we all need to remember that there are people out there that are Role playing because this is either better than there real life (being bullied, sexual abuse etc) or it is an escape from R/L because of like i said above.

Zero was a good example of this.

All i ask is you think of this in your forum activity, hell mass them sab them, but have fun on the forum.

I don't ask for respect for myself it is for the game players.

& last of all, grab life, enjoy it & most of all have fun.

I agree, Respect for people is of the upmost importance, thats pretty much how i judge people in RL , ON the forums and pretty much everywhere else, And not forgetting the other point to this game, Fun!

Ive had fun in makeing alot of friends, Distinguished Players, Or not, You can be a great member of the community by being a great person. And that's pretty much what STI is. Well that and his really big army which im sure helps....

yep, your right andy

well respect is good once people have earned it.

but everybody deserves to be threated with respect even if you dislike them.

However you actions can lead to even more respect from some and hate of others.

What i know of your playstile is something i respect and i know to few players nowadays whose playstile i still respect

there are there however and that and friends is what keeps me here.



On a side node. Drinking to much isnot good but flaming people for it doesnot help

i was wondering wen some1 was gona say something about respect for every1. and to be nice since u dont kno wat ppl r going through in rl.

to all, dont forget this is just a game, some ppl take it too seriously, maybe cause of the reasons jeff pointed out, but neverthless, even in rl respect is something u always need to give ppl, respect is like a 2 way street, if u dont have respect for the next person, how do u except to receive it?

everyone deserves ur respect, being friend or foe, especially in a game, but in rl aswell
