Give me a week and I'll make a SGW Roleplay forum if I can't get a section going on here.
Aye... but it is painful even to concede that a
second forum would be necessary for RP.
Granted, I am not speaking of serious RP - I want that I hit up the conclave.
For that sort of RP, a second forum is perfect. But I feel we have lost the back-and-forth ebb of the different races - we used to trade banter, and a race was a style of play: Tauri's farmed, asgaurd built stats, replicators sabbed from the dark corners, and Goauld ... well, they just ran about like headless chickens.

See, Jedi, that is not the type of RP that many of us used to enjoy, but rather is much different.
As Xeno said, I want that, I have two other huge forums I can hit up for any type of RP.
What we're talking about is the old RP, the endless bickering between races, the countless Esker/Saz/Anubis/Setesh/Kjarkur/REK comments that used to be put on every forum.
The tok'ra(Heart/Eyes/Manhood/Liver of the tok'ra, anyone?)
The self-proclaimed Dark Asgard.
System Lord Apophis, the moron who professed himself to be a tok'ra as he first joined the game and was massed to hell and back by Esker and myself, then saw the light.
That's the type of RPing I'm talking about.
Not the endless, two page long RPs. Just the few line, in character words that used to cause alliance wars..

I agree that roleplaying should be brought back and I agree with Setesh. I think it should be brought back, and that as long as its in good spirit, race chat could be fun.
I think that roleplaying, and a change to the ascended race (sytem lord, nanotimaster, etc) bonuses would be beneficial to the game. Currently the only difference between them is the name. They should have a distinct trait as the unascended races do. But meh, sorry for going off topic. I think it would be great if done well.

we like roleplaying...
currently the last real bastion of roleplaying here is the children of the ori forum for chaos...
but then, it is really fun to annoy the children of the ori...
