no the weapons have the exact same power they just last twice as long. the only increase you get is the increase in percentage depending on your race. but the 15% extra defence doesnt make up for the 4*weapon price. also troops are more expensive to train, and for defence, to train the same amount of guys fully equipped with best weapons it costs 3 times the amount, and the ascension will only give me 15% at this level.

Err, no sorry, troops cost the same. The troop cost doesn't go up. A single gouald strike weapon with a single super soldier grants 67,456 power A single prior strike weapon with a single super soldier grants 159,365 power. That's a difference of 91,909 power, and the 5% bonus is only worth 7,968 power. With more power per weapon means you don't need to invest as many UU into stats, which in turn means more income.

if you are right, then the prices still are not worth it.
but, i have the same amount of guys in defence now than i did before i ascended, and if i work out and take away the 15% defence boost my race gives me, then my defence is the same

1mill supers and weapons in defense creates a 170b def or so if you're ascended. To do that as an unascended gouald would cost you 2.6million supers and weapons. Those 1.6mill troops can instead be put into income to create more income. Also, for the price difference, to create those 2.6mill weapons you need 436,280,000,000 naq, but to make the 1million defense weapons as an ascended would require 599,200,000,000 naq, that's 162,920,000,000 naq more for ascended players, but 1.6mill UU makes 147,200,000 more naq per turn. That's 7,065,600,000 a day more, meaning it'd take 23 days to pay off the difference, after 23 days, you're gaining.

All these calculations are done on the 15% bonus since that's what you said you've got.

i know why. i forgot asgard had a 25% defence increase, but i still dont think its worth the price

it is once you hit LG+1, 30% bonus for defense AND strike AND covert AND....you get the idea. 30% bonus for everything vs 25% bonus for one stat as an unascended race....LG+1 > unascended.

i think its more than worth it IMO but thats just my two cents.

I just gave you the numbers, how can you not think it's worth it?

@Neptune: It's worth it even before LG+1, it's worth it as a descended prior due to the income you gain by having less soldiers in defense.

but i dont think im gonna make it to LG+1 because there are probably now 1000 LG+1 out there, which means its going to be really difficult to get into the top 1000 for the G&R, because they will be at the level where they can just get harder and harder without having to lose all of their stats and ascend
