This is more of a clarification question than a real q. Am I right in assuming that the only way you can make $ is to have ppl click on your link and get untrained soldiers?
I was getting a little bit of $ in the beginning when I just had 3 untrained soldiers but when I trained them I wasn't getting any $ on my turns until a friend clicked the link. (Because then I got more untrained soldiers)
Am I interpretting that correctly? I tried digging through FAQ's and couldn't find what I was looking for. Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks!

Find a commander with a good turn income, who can also help you with questions like these. Upgrade your unit production on the training page. Finally, when in need, attack an other player for their naquadah.

Thanks for the info but I guess what I meant to ask was when you are on your own and aside from doing those things (upgrading units cost like $15,000 and your only given $20,000 when you start, attacking other ppl isn't really great when you don't even know what your doing yet and I didn't think about attaching myself to a commander), is the income that you get relative to the number of untrained units you have? I hope I said that better this time.
Thanks!

Income is 40*(#Untrained troops), and if your goauld, multiply that by 1.25

Attaching yourself to a commander isn't permanent, and they can really help you out. They'll most likely give you much more than 20000 naq, PER TURN. Your own naquadah production is indeed relative to the number of untrained units. So get working on that unit production, and get a commander to help you out with stuff like attacking, spying, everything you need.

Yes you get 40 naq per untrained troop (with the 25% Goa'uld bonus making it 50 per untrained) per turn.
With a commander you can get up to 30% of their income. They have a setting (between 10 and 30%) which determines how much of their income is shared out between all their officers.
Investing in unit production is the best way to go currently. You will need more units to train into troops, and obviosly the more untrained you have, the bigger your income.
If you want to make more from your attacks, declare war with the target before attacking - it is possible to steal 100% of their naq if you succeed in the attack with war declared and using 15 turns.

The bank size is proportional to the number of untrained troops (not mercs) you have, so more untrained = bigger bank. Also donators get bigger banks (check the 'Support this site - UPGRADE' link from your Command Center).
What by level do you mean covert level? If so, it's on your Training page.

If you mean where do you find your overall rank, that's listed on the left hand side of the screen where it gives you an overview. Your individual ranks for Strike Action, Defensive Action and Covert Action are on your command center page under military effectiveness. (I'm a newbie to, so if I'm wrong, please correct me

)
