Have no fear, Coolmick47 shall be attending the next Melbourne meet....there shall be copious amounts of alcohol consumed and lots of idiotic shenanigans to keep you all entertained.

Very very frustrating at the moment to find out the date I was aiming on having the next Melbourne meet must be some sort of holiday or time frame in which flights to Melbourne skyrocket.
I was aiming for late September. Flights are really expensive in this time period. Very annoying.

Australian summer starts December the 1st...
Seasons don't have an effect on flight prices, its usually something thats going on around the same time, for example, Christmas week, Easter, Grand Prix, Melbourne Show, Grand Final, an other sporting finals.
Its ok for those who live in Melbourne, but it effects those wanting to travel from interstate.
I need to find a date that suits the majority. So any suggestions will be appreciated. Having said that, I want to have one before November.

Yeah, flower and garden show this year is being named 'Alex and Garden Show'. Not sure why...
Yeah, Grand Final is coming up I guess, and I forgot about the Spring Carnival, I thought that was in November with Cup Day... Damn this year has flown by.

We will never live that dingo incident down... *sigh
Oh well. We just need another high profile, absurd native animal saga and then people will forget the dingo thing.
BREAKING NEWS!
"A Wombat took 6 men hostage in a rural Northern Territory National park on the weekend. It is said that he would only respond when someone said the word 'barbeque'. The men were later released after hostage negotiators promised the Wombat a spot at Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo in Queensland. He was quoted to say "Thats the only place a Wombat gets respek these days" before he was tranquillized and stuffed into a police van and taken to the nearest station for questioning."
