I know your entitled to your opinion also, just I'd like to know why you think what he's saying now is annoying.

The whole thing was very very pointless

Now if someone where to be banned here, they just go over there be an idiot all over again

Well hypothetically speaking what about mods or admins that got fired here going there ? Cause most of the mods/admins there are former or fired mods here, geisha got flat out fired for example.

So hypothetically they only have that fourm cause they went to Fourm and begged for a new fourm to mod on. So its not really a 'community' site, just a place for outcast mods to feel like they still have power.

I personally enjoy the site. However I do see some flaws with it. Mainly being the lack of moderators/admins on when i am on. If you visit that site in the near future don't go to "Hi I'm new here" thread, the person mudkip who will be sat on if he ever gets something close to an account, has posted some disgusting images.

That is the only flaw that I have found. Other than that I enjoy the site. Oh and on a parting note, Don't knock it until you have tried it.

geisha wasn't flat out fired, she was demoted, then quit in protest.

As always when someone criticizes something, many people will hate it because allowing criticism means you actually have to think about stuff and maybe even change things The easiest way to get out of that situation was to simply demote geisha and try to shut her up. Then geisha left the moderator team.

Look at Stargatewarriors.com as a fan page. The idea was born by community members and it is community members who are running it. They told Jason about their idea and he offered to host the site, made clear though that he didn't want to administrate it or get involved in any way.

The idea behind it:

The main site is meant to offer the community:

- a place to find information without having to browse the forums
- something they can work on together (everybody is encouraged to suggest content)
- the feeling of being a community

The forums are meant to:

- have a fresh start and break off with some traditions on the old forums
- give peple a place to play the game as an RPG again
- allow people to talk freely about things

Never was the site or the forums meant to replace the official forums. They are only an addition. We knew many people would not accept them and that it would not be easy to make the project a success when there are people who will be working against it. But we still thought it was worth a try because we believe that some people are positive enough to allow changes and would appreciate new possibilities.

@vinny: sorry more mods will be added soon.

please list current moderators for the "other" forum.

I'm curious to see who's "running" the show over there.

If they want a host, then there are many people who can do the job. I've pre-paid 1000gb transfer, 100gb space until april 2008.

So, you dont like the idea of not being able to ban someone without having a reason? I think almost anyone with a brain can see a issue with that.

Dont think you where demoted for critizing things, unless im missing something huge, it was for banning nuto for correcting replijake who mis-quoted her.

Go to the forum and find out. Mods are the ones with the shiny colours

F.A.F.H. (geisha according to goodie), EnterTheLion, and RobinInDaHood are all admins.

REK, and TheRook are global mods.

and currently KGC is the only section mod.

Its more of Role playing site than anything of course the true GODS the goaulds and system lords are winning..

but for the most parts its about SGW and sci fi in general

the forum is an addition to the main page

but its a place for people to enjoy themselves...


the oly person who kept his SGW mentality was tok'ra

and he wasnt banned just warned.. but Im sure If I posted your home adreess and telephone number and threatned to crank call it a few hundred times you wouldnt mind
