A good account takes months to build up. Making is possible to completely destroy it in a matter of hours, seems wrong to me. I agree that more than just defence should be detroyed in war. I just don't think it should happen too quickly. A simple limit of # of turns that can be used againts a player per day (just like covert action) would do the trick. After that limit, no more damage would be done, but naq could still be stolen in order to make it harder for the target to rebuild.
For example:
Day 1 - all defence eliminated/some attack
Day 2 - all attack/some covert eliminated
Day 3 - all covert eliminated/some UU destroyed
Day 4/5 - UU destroyed
That would give time for diplomacy, calling in reinforcements, etc. You would still be able to deal a deadly blow on the 1st day by turning the player into a farm.
Of course, if attacking players with no defence eventually destroys the UU units, this would have a devastating efect on the farms....

No, don't destroy the UU, just bring raid back
And while we're into destroying secret organisations such as covert, why not destroy banks, while we're at it? Come on!

ok lets put it this way, i want to crush u so all i need to do is change to tauri and with my high covert i can wipe out every defence in an alliance by buying turns and having a commander feed me mercs.... this would make me invinsible as no one could sab me or mass me....
now how would you say the game is evened up and to prevent this obvious flaw?? i seem to recall that when poppy got knocked from the top spot when he lost all his untrained the rules were changed so you only lost trained troops.... i would put this in the same league as this and think it should be patched!

Rob has spoken something that I agree with either mostly or in whole!
