admin may not have planned for such an occurance but i doubt people will be punished for it...if you think about it, how is this different from people 'playing' with brokers to get to or over the 75mil mark or to get over the turn limit? i for one dont see a difference though i do think admin will act upon this planet thing.

The one reported on the forum wasn't going to keep the extra planet anyway - but some... trigger-happy fella decided he'd not leave it to the game administration but 'help' him lose some stats and a few planets besides Talk about paying for your mistakes... but there should be a rule against interacting in any way with players suspected of breaking rules (i.e., massing multis and crap like that).

I already thought that if you are found interacting with proven multis you get investigated?

I remember a case ages ago when someone's account was suspended for raiding a cheat account. Of course they were pissed that they had been caught up in it..

This is somewhat different (there's no official rule for not keeping 11 planets, afaik - it's just something you don't do), but I wouldn't mind knowing who massed Silent Bob before he was even proved guilty of anything or had a chance to explain it.

Well, I was half-kidding anyway and I don't have any idea about Silent Bob. The 11 planet thing could be done as a legitimate mistake if you sent away your mothership, forgot you did so, and made the planet. Being a multi is a completely different issue since there are multiple warnings about it throughout the game and even during signup.

Anyway, I don't think it's fair to call someone a cheater because the game allowed the condition to occur. If the game has specific limits, it should enforce them.

It would be fair to call one a cheater if he intended to keep the planet - that would be exploiting a bug, and exploiting bugs is, in my books, cheating. I personally incline to believe Silent Bob's explanation... but, legitimate mistake or not, he paid more than he should have IMO.
