If the reason for the massing is legitimate then I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed. The persons actions could even be considered commendable as they do not want to drag their alliance into war that they have nothing to do with, that being said the massed person and their alliance can mass the person back as much as they want.
Legitimate reasons for leaving your alliance to mass someone:
Scamming
Massive insult
Extensive farming against
etc
Not legitimate reasons for leaving your alliance to mass someone:
Random personal vendetta
You dislike their name
A single fair hit
etc
Spastic

Funny that a TA member should comment, as it's a member of your alliance to whom I refer.
And I would quite happily start an alliance war over a member of an alliance massing me. When you're in an alliance, your actions are representative of that alliance. Dropping your tags for five minutes isn't about to make someone forget that, either.
Funny that an Omega member would start an alliance war over it rather than fight the 1v1.
I'm glad you find it so amusing.
I would stand up for anybody in my alliance who got massed, and I'd expect them to do the same for me. If it's an organised one on one agred to by both parties, then fair enough. But otherwise what's the point in even being an alliance if you haven't got one another's backs?
Then again, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that the TA don't get this.. given recent events.

In my opinion it is legit to leave your alliance to settle a dispute. Now the thing is the dispute needs to be settled before the person returns. If its not settles then what was the point in leaving? I see nothing wrong with members of NAP'ed alliances settling there differences. Its when 1 leaves masses and rejoins that causes problems.

If I have that problem with someone while I am Omega then any actions I take reflect on Omega. If i remove my tags to settle a score and then go back to Omega that reflects on my alliance as well.
If I felt strongly enough about an issue to go against my alliances wishes I would leave my alliance.
Bottom line...if , as an alliance you allow a member to do this then by proxy you as an alliance are condoning the action. If you do not condone the action boot the member. SIMPLE . You cannot have it both ways.
Either be men about it or hide under the banner of ignorance...if you want to look ignorant ,well that is your choice.
