u need to have untrained units or miners to generate naq

You have to have some untrained units to generate naq, if you have converted all your untrained into other troop types you will need to untrain or wait until you generate an extra one. This is why Unit Production is so important, the higher is goes, the more untrained naq makers you get each turn.

Next patch we are getting special miner troops to boost naq earning, but for now you need untrained normal troops to earn it. To start with you probably want to maximise naq earning as you are protected for 2 days from attack, try and build up production until it ends.
