This game should be more than threats, while violence is at times necessary, more often than not, you can achieve better results through a civil, diplomatic discussion.
1st thing:
Who are you to speak of general perceptions? What you mean is you've spoken to a cpl of people who are bitter about something and YOU want things changed. I can assure you the vast majority of the people who play this game are happy enough with how it's being run, especially when you consider there are many other games like this that crash and burn in very short time frames. SGW has been going for as long as it has been because it is ran much more professionally than most other games. Is it perfect? of course not, but it certainly doesn't need some sort of reform group.
If you want to speak to the game staff about issues then go along to the weekly meetings, use these forums or even E-mail. I seriously doubt the game staff are going to go onto your 3rd party web site to talk about their game when they have their own forum to discuss issues on.
2nd the game IS much more than threats and Violence, but that doesn't mean threats and violence don't have their part to play, after all it's a war game.
Lets face it the issues people have with this game generally come into 2 categories:
1: <insert alliance name here> are too powerful and people develop irrational hatred towards them.
2: <insert poster name> got banned for breaking the rules and various friends just won't stop whining about it.
Now nothing can be done about point 1 unless alliances band together and GO TO WAR. OMG, it's a war game, so either you take your beatings like a man, or you whine. Seems to me that there are too many whiners and not enough "men". Nothing you can say or do on your new forum will change this.
Point 2 is based on individuals being unable to comprehend the simple fact that this forum is run by the game staff, for the game community, not for 1 persons Ego. Nothing you can say or do on your forum will get them unbanned, nor change the fact that people who regularly break the rules will get banned.
so basically your new forum seems like a place for people to come and whine whilst having no affect on the game or the official forums, because 99% of the things that you seem to think are "wrong" with the game are down to human nature, which you won't change, ever.
