Indeed past players can return! ;)

And Tok'ra is right - nowhere was it specified that they had to be current players - and I'd probably put all of the 'not currently playing' players on my list ahead of most of the currently playing players on the other lists. But as you say - it is all down to personal opinion!

And as I said in my first post - renowned for what anyway?

@ SVaRuN - what do you mean by upheld my position? :?

Tok'ra, if you should be on that list, then lets see....

REK certainly should, Sun God Ra bleeding should, Law7441 should, Geisha, Starry, Ancient Anubis, THREE, Ghosty Goo, Xanathor (whatever his dam name is, guy who took over DDE before REK, post Lord Dark), flavar, chris7221 whatever that silly number thing was.. HELL! Id even go so far as to put myself on it if you were to be put on it (not saying im in the same league as some of the above) but yes...

no, Tok'ra, you kid yourself.

Sorry wolf, ment that you atm hold little or no political power in sgw...
You are still quite known to older players as to some new ones since you do appear on these forums...
I for instance once wanted to join EPA souly because of your charisma and in some espects I still try to look up to you
Imo and that has nothing to do with this thread you only lacked in one area and that was your ingame acount...though it sadnees me I realised long long ago that with little individual power you hold less actual power.
In a way it makes sense...why would some member take adivse from a guy whose acount is in a worse shape then his...though that is crap and those who know how to play sgw know it quite some dont...first appearance charisma and many more come from power of your acount also...
The last time I started playing this game I mentioned the option of some kind of TL being formed but it wasnt untill I built my acount up to a decent level ppl started to take me seriously...
Was it lack of respect...I dont think so we are friends even RL with some of these ppl...its called reality...someone who barely has the power of defending his income wants to set up somekind of an alliance which would hold its own against anyone if needed...
I wouldnt go for it, especially if I was, like some of these ppl were, in top alliances at the time...
But it soon changed and from nth TLE was built...
In the end ppl are what make you...you wouldnt be you (I wouldnt be me) without all the ppl that support you...

Take some of the players from the above lists take away ppl that stand behind them and you get a player that shouldnt be on that list at all...

It is my personal opinion that my friends, mates, alliance members are what make me and I myself just add the so called dot to the i....

Sorry to go off track if you wolf or someone would have a wish to chat about such things you can always get my msn...;)

Well the topic is most renowned. Be that because of fame or infamy. Almost everyone knows who JAUN is (was).

Juan did a lot besides making cash, most of his infamy to be honest was down to the fact he was rank 1 for a long time and had some friends change name to Juan's Slave and become his officers. Because of this and various other issues he was pretty much constantly accused of cheating with multi's, owning "dodgy" UU's and a load of other stuff i'm sure i missed.

So in short, yes, he was very well renowned in the game, just not really for anything positive, well, except being ranked 1.

Yeah, not sure what happened over the account selling in the end either. I know at one stage Corkscrew was going to mass the guy who bought it off Bill, but the issue kind of left the forums after that, well, that or i must have missed any further installments 8)

That's what I want you all to think -so the plan is working!

MUAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :-D

Seriously though - I do see your point - but do not necessarily agree with it - not 100% anyway. It all depends upon the individual. We have seen people with some of the most powerful accounts fail in this game because they did not know how to use that account, or could not cope with all aspects of the game. On the other hand we have seen other people with weaker accounts succeed because of more balanced play and, dare I say it, their personality - this has allowed quite a few alliance leaders (including me) to successfully lead other players with much more impressive accounts.

Within the EPA/EPAC there were quite a lot of people with 'better' accounts than me (mainly because I objected to raiding so much I refused to use it - which could be termed my weakness in the game - at the time), players such as JaseB, Salvo, Jamie Sheehan, generaloneill, Dundee, viperman, Stoney - to name but a few, yet I was their successful leader because of my approach to the game and my personality.

Even ETL can be seen in a similar light - having successfully led Omega/Omegan Empire, while having quite a lot of members who were much stronger.

Of course, it doesn't always work - like I said, it is down to the individual - and one example of it failing, I believe, is forgive_me..... He had a massive account, was a decent player and was leader of The Order - yet his approach to the game and his personailty let him down, allowing his stronger alliance to be overcome. Those facts alone could quite easily qualify him for 'renowned' status.

And hey bud, you keep posting in public! You've kicked off a decent convo within this thread - which tends to be lacking around here these days!
