The more volts you pump the futher you get, then you have to make sure your ram doesnt overclock too far that limits it change the divider, then you may have to volt the motherboard a bit more to account for the raised FSB, cpu makes a lot of heat.


Just ordered my mobo heatsinks and installed my water blocks on my CPU and GPU.

lol i know about overclocking... i wouldnt try it on mine, its a beautiful system as is, and i dont have the money to replace fried CPUs or ram or whatever... lol

btw, the presler cores (pentium D 950) generate a lot of heat anyway. ive already got 3.4 ghz, so... i think my point is obvious... i dont need to overclock...

that statement of mine considering how high i could go wasnt really needing an answer, i was 'thinking out loud'... lol

lol oc'ing doesn't fry your chip :-D

Its actually very safe nearly all motherboards got some type of overclocking built it these days.

guess so, im just used to old peices of junk... i was stuck with mid range pentium IIs for ages till i got my pentium D

my CPU runs quite warm as is so o'c ing is out of the question... (as ive pointed out b4, i dont need to either)
