it doesnt, 100% sure. Me and my old officer did the maths and tests.
Either that or the officers DO get the % of income but you dont loose it.

I heard this story before... How officers get the income, but commander don't lose it... i can't say that for sure, but i can say for sure, that i do get the income bonus from my commander based on his planets as well... can't say if he lose it or not...

I believe that income to officers DOES include planets.
Because when I had an officer he was earning a bit over 800 mil naq a turn from me and he only had 100,000 miners. Also I only had the income to officers set at 20% (as per his request). He had 3 income planets but only with about 3 bil naq a day on each of them. And Finally I only had enough miners to be earning a little over 1 bil naq a turn.
So if you do the math then YES it DOES include income planets.
But if there are other opinions on this matter, then maybe other factors are taken into account, such as race? But who knows for sure.

Definitive answers are in... sorry it took 24 hours but I had to wait 24 hours for officer to re-join.Basically, I fired everyone, including myself.
When I added myself back, the following happened:
* My income went down by 10% of my RAW income (excluding
planets or goa'uld bonus) (i.e., lost my "no commander" bonus)
* My UP went up by 10% of RAW UP (i.e., gained my "own
commander" bonus)
So far, so expected... now for the officer...
When my officer added himself back, the following happened:
* MY income reduced by 30% of my RAW income (excluding
planets or goa'uld bonus)
* HIS income increased by 30% of my TOTAL income
(including planets & goa'uld bonus)
So, commander only loses 30% of RAW, but officer gains 30% of TOTAL.In other words, a lot of the cash an officer gets, appears out of thin air in much the same way your UP bonus from your officer appears out of thin air. Now you know why UP CIRCLES are becoming more popular. Free Naq

Ahhh, the genius here!
That last post just made me so happy! I've been wondering about this for a while when I look and I "know" 30% of my income hasn't been taken away but dang if my officer isn't getting a nice portion.
Thankee muchly for all that did a lotta work on this! I know I'm happier knowing what's goin' on with that.
