Asgards stayed the same as you cant copyright them because its something from Mythology

Yep as far as I can remeber owner of SGW rights tried to kill the page couse of the copyrights.The name of the game was changed becouse of that(it is the gate wars not star gate wars) as well as names of races and soldiers(i almost quit couse of that)for short period of time.Forum also changed head banner couse it was interfering with copyrights.If memory servers me right he also need to hire lawyer to solve this mess but in the end common sense prevailed.MGM cant have copyrights over asgard,jaffa,tauri,replis etc.all they can have is lawsuits against them for using that names but that another story about someone being arrogant and thinking if he gave something or someone world fame he can owe that thing.

So in the end Forum massed,sabbed,owned them .

can remember TGW name change, not the race changing. Maybe one of my absent periods..i dont know.

late 2005/2006 i really cant think tbh...but I remember it changing and the announcements, having to change the old bookmarks and stuff.. the mods pointing out it was called SGW anymore quite often..
