i remember reading about this scientist proposing that universes give birth to other universes in black holes (kind of giving a darwinian spin to the whole thing) i personally thought it was a bit out there

well, one day, everything is gonna be a black hole :s

Ancients are statbuilders that's why they lost vs the Wraith with their super advanced tech and ships against primitive race which was the wraith, and who weren't statbuilders at all, explaining one's defeat and one's victory!

I agree totally with Apophis.

The ancients just sat on their hands basically while the wraith wilted them down to fewer and fewer individuals, till they were all but extinct. Sure some ascended, but the majority died or become part of the genetic populace. Although to be fair the Goa'ld did not ascend, save for one.

Not every culture should be judged by how well they go to war!
They might have been peacable being!

actually ancients only lost the war simply because the wraith cloned mass amounts of soldiers...
