I'll take that as a compliment Lee :) Although I'm not to sure about the religious part... most people I know avoid religion (which isn't such a big thing anyway in the UK).

Apophis, wouldn't you consider the fact that homosexuality doesn't receive support from legal systems a problem in itself? It implies that something as simple as sex makes us good or bad people, that strikes me as being not humanist something I'm sure you don't want to be.

and you may Fireball 8)

Religion is another topic , but save to say that they support the ban.

However I do not support the Churches standpoint on this matter , when you take into acct the sins of the church and the number of people supporting the church who live in sin and voice their opinions shrouded in hypocrisy while having sex outside of marriage ;)

Their moral high ground is lost on me but then again I am a Pagan.

And what are you doing there lol?
You are implying I'm among bad people, just for my beliefs which aren't extremist, so it isn't any better, you know!

Extremist is a relative term Apophis, by your standards you might be reserved, but others would consider you the complete opposite. I think anyone who will judge a massive fraction of humanity on a single element of there makeup is in the wrong, I don't however consider them necessarily bad people... just that there actions cause a great deal of pain...

I think we had someone having a radical position on the subject here...and if I'm extremist on it, then so do many people who voted/posted here!

You'd be surprised, if we were arguing that Buddhists shouldn't be able to marry and we were referring to Buddhism as a "pschyopathological affliction" or an "addiction" it would definitely be considered extreme. And as for Avenger, I just hope he doesn't really believe what he's saying...

 You really have no idea what's been said, do you?
I wish someone would summarise this thread, per poster, so that we could recap. It's sufficiently interesting to continue, but I would like to know where everyone stands without having to compile lists and stuff.

why, and more importantly...how can you doubt that i sincerely do believe in what i say? especially when my stance on the matter hasn't changed...not 1 bit!

let me put it this way, even those that hate gays wouldn't kill one, no matter how much they hate them, i on the other hand could not only kill one, i could kill them all, seeing how genocide is the wiping out of a particular group...i would quite happily do it and sleep very well afterwords.

i suggest you read what i have written previously in this thread to get some understanding of why i couldn't hurt a fly (so to speak) but can very easily contemplate ridding the world of this...

i'll leave it to your imagination as to how i would have finished that last sentence.

Are you trying to be threatening, Avenger?

But to answer your question, I've encountered a lot of people who genuinely believe that all people like me should be killed and you don't strike me as being one of them, they tend to be violent idiots, which I don't really think you are, or clever speakers who use public concepts like political correctness and use them to try and rubbish the arguments against them. You don't do that, you don't do anything really...

Obviously this is about gay marriage , wandering a little off topic with some rants about legalities, child rearing and religion, but im not going to assume that because your gay that you cant read. LOL

I guess the next natural question would be ... Your thoughts on this hot topic ?

Arc I want to thank you in advance for your patients and good behavior.

Yes, you said that already.. in like, your first post. ;)
Or did you? Anyway, I know of it, and it does not change my opinions. :P
It isn't likely to change Avenger's opinions either. :)

I agree with gay marriage, I think that I have the right to have a relationship recognized by the state, and ultimately I don't see why that would affect anyone else...

@ultimate- No I doubt it'll change his mind, but I'd like to see how he reacts, homophobes get very interesting when there's a gay person there, especially if he's doing what I think he's doing...
