this is where you are wrong, no matter how much the at's cost, the only result will be that the absolute profit per at used will be increasing, the % profit will remain approximately the same.
When at's costed 3 mil i raided up to an average of 15 uu's per at and i made a nice profit. Now at's cost 9 mil and i don't raid below 30 uu's. My % profit is the same but the absolute profit per at has increased and i am happy with it.

I hope the at prices soar as high as possible, will save me alot of time.

The same goes for naq farmers. If at prices go up people will simply not attack someone if he has below a certain amounf of naq out.

I couldn't disagree with you more.

Since the ammount of naq being earned per miner is not linked to the cost of products on the market then the cost of raiding has increased.

The number of "Good" raid targets is decreasing because of the inflationary cost of Attack turns.

Remember it's stargatewars not stargate economics class.
As a game it's play ability is determined by the ammount of attack turns you can get and use to

1 Build an army
2 Build a defence
3 Attack your enemies

the limiting factor in the game is turns.

turns are meant to be limited.

they control growth.

with the market being reseeded, all strategy is out the window, the only thing that matters any longer is who has the most time.

with the current system, turns might as well be unlimited...

but for whoever it was that said that your profits per turn go up as the price rises, you are absolutely correct.

as those prices rise, so do naq/raid farms, so that newbs that can't afford the market can actually make some progress while learning a legitimate strategy in the game.

Actually what is happening is that the big players in the game buy up the MT's and raid or get someone else to raid for them, just look at the black market to see this.

Also have you noticed how many big players have left the game due to boredom?

Current Exchange rates:
3,580,000,000 Naquadah for 568 Turns for 10,400 MineSlave/Lifers for 5USD.

And the market get's even worse for those of us trying to grow. It's no wonder there's so many cheaters in the game when the resources to play the game are becomming too expensive to purchase.

thought i will never post again here... but well..

the only problem is the regular influx of resources (=mainly AT)! this takes away any chance of a real market taking place. and therfor the rates are unfair. personally, I want to see rates like 10bil for 100 turns for 2000 lifers->this would be the moment when small players can actually catch up a lil.

Ston, at those rates how are small players supposed to catch up?

The idea is to play the game, not reduce it to a stand still :D

Quote from forum on page 1 of this thread"
Each resource will have a 'base' value. now it is:
turns: 800
units: 20,000
naq: 2,000,000,000 "

Current Exchange rates:
3,600,000,000 Naquadah for 568 Turns for 10,200 MineSlave/Lifers for 5USD.

So since the market went free trade the reality is the following

At the beginging a full MT got you the following at a cost of 10 bill
100k lifers
4k attack turns

Now 18 bill naq gets you
51k lifers
2840 attack turns

Lets put it another way
1 attack turn used to cost 2.5 mill naq, it now costs 6.34 mill naq approx
1 lifer used to cost 100k naq, it now costs 353k naq approx

So from this we can see that the total buying power on the market has been reduced by inflation from 100 % per 10 bill for attack turns to 39% per 10 bill for attack turns

Also from this we can see that the total buying power on the market has been reduced by inflation from 100 % per 10 bill for lifers to 28% per 10 bill for lifers.

Basicaly you get 61% less attack turns for your naq
And 72% less Lifers for your naq

Ston looks at KGC and says "Did you hear that..?"

KGC looks at Ston and says "It was probably nothing....just the wind"

Suddenly a herd of Noobs rush forward trying to mass Ston and KGC.

They look at each other, smile and at precisely the same moment say .................... "Lunch"
