True, I also disparage of the people who show off. Even Jesus condemned the prophets and pharisees for doing so.
I live in a nice little quiet town in California, US of A. Sadly not Switzerland.
The parking is horrible around here. Especially on campus, even with a permit, you really can't find a spot to park!
@ corran, I hope to talk to you on msn one day

i have a difficult interview for a job i really want on wed.

a turn of events chaps! i too would like to ask for prayer and support. I have applied for a job and i found that there were about 30 applicants for the same position. if i do get it, this would set me well on the way to my ideal career.

well, it's the learning that counts!
If you don't get one thing, it just means there's something better for you out there!

well something i personally like to note in prayer, if its in gods will, open the door wide, if not, slam the door shut.
either way the answer is right there.

aye! thats also my philosophy. my duty is to do me part, do my best in order to get what i want. if i don't get it then i accept it as God's will (but ONLY when i can be 100% sure i did my absolute best, otherwise that'd promote laziness

) and believe He'll have something much better for me in due time.

lol..proof that prayers dont work?
I know if I was God, id be saying to you, why do you deserve to get that job over everyone else? Because you ask a few people to pary for you? or because you sit there begging me for help, instead of continually working at practicing for it yourself?
I think that is half the problem with Christians, they seek out God as a way out, as a safe guard, as hope. You claim to have free will, and that god gives it you, yet you do so much to hinder such claims. *Points to Bruce Almighty*.
be the miracle.
