no matter where the thread is, someone will complain:

If it stays in General,mods are accused of breaking the rules as this thread has not the slightest ingame relevance and thus does not belong there.

If it gets moved to the section it belongs to, mods are accused of sweeping it under the carpet.

If people care about the forum, they'll go and find the thread here.
This isn't your dusty corner where all threads end to die.. it's the specific section for discussions on this topic. Pretty much not much one can bring up against that.. if it were the case that absolutely EVERYONE needed to see this, it would've been a global announcement, put on the Base page in SGW, etcetera.. CNN would be informed, Al Jazeera, and ultimately, we'd hire a laser and print it on the moon at night.

DaDigi's choice was correct, as was Wolf's.. and much better reasons were given for moving it then those who moved it back.

I have a cause, yes. To make these forums fair and to have forum Administrator to come to his senses and stop thinking about him being all almighty. Firing two mods just at whim because they disagreed with his ideas is hardly fair.

guys, any chance we could stop all this mud slinging and stay on topic because this is a very serious matter. we need to get to the root cause of this and the root cause of this seems to me to be smoosh.

smoosh has used (IMHO) very poor judgment and is running things like a dictator and this needs to be addressed and i would greatly appreciate it if people didnt use my thread (yes i am nobodyhere for all those who haven't worked it out yet) to air their personal grievances.

NOW, it seems very clear to me that jen and FS have been sacked for no good reason and smoosh is doing nothing to address this, i say thats an abuse of his position and should step down as admin ASAP...

Sorry for double post but can't be bothered editing.

There's no need for smoosh to step down - but there is a need for more communication and involvement generally within the mod team. Some decisions have been made - some without apparent reason, others in the name of giving the wider community a say in how the forum is run - I'm all for that - but not at the expense of potentially undermining those who are appointed to ensure the smooth running of the forum - i.e. the mods.

Most of the arguments within here are centered around that.

until now i've never had a problem with ANY of the MODS and much less smoosh, BUT i HATE anyone who abuses their position and TBH the excuses that have been given as to the removal of 2 of the best MODS from the forum just doesn't make sense unless your a tyrant.

You are allowed your opinion just like the rest. Jack appointed Auriel as a mod for his section like it or not thats what it is. FS and Teal'c stated above what they believe to be the reasons for their dismissal. We all have been working very hard to keep this on topic so dont come running here from your other bashing thread , because you see Auriel post and to continue to bash her.

If you have concerns about forum admin you are in the right place but please keep it productive and respectfull, as these issues get aired.
