And goodie the attack bug didnt make me think. I've had this discussion going for the last 3 months among people like Lore, Semper. Im sure they can varify that

Granted I will concede that this thread was up first/attack bug wasn't 4 days (3/2 days I believe, feel free to correct me, as opposed to just calling me out on it, thats why there was a question mark there)
But how many others posted only because of that? Time will tell.
For the record: game play was screwed up a while ago; now its probably even worse.

Lets be honest here. Things have been building up to this point for a long time now. This has been the first time where we could log on, but not do anything but spie and so forth. Seeing this thread people are now more than happy to express there concerns, not only because of the fact that you couldnt attack BECAUSE of an update which is for the sole purpose of making this game more $$, but the fact that people are tired of seeing these kinds of things.
You all want change, but all I have seen is ideas to fix the updates that were all sujested to Jason to make. You blame the maker of the game for releasing these updates, but whats sad is that you all made these suggestions for them! Hes been doing your bidding, but then when it sucks or isnt what you expected, you blame him instead of yourselfs.
If you want change for this game, its first gonna start with the players of the game to stop with these redicules updates to the game for the sole purpose of making things move faster.
Blame yourselfs for the state of the game, not the maker. Want change, then I suggest you start first with your ingame policys and begging for "dumb" updates.
well said indeed... we have brought this upon us... yet, I believe it was a combo of admin not rethinking somethings and users pressuring him into it, admins can only take so much before they cave in and give what the user want...

I may agree with you on some updates, but other I absolutely can not agree with you on.
1 Ascended super weapon, admin was told from conception how it would be used, and keep out of the loop, He was told before, and during, and every change he made he was told how it would be beat. HE refused to listen
2. Planets, All they have done is accerate accounts in every aspect and lead to the quickest downturn in game play second only to unlimited AT. Then he makes updates to limit planets to force you to grow your account????
3. Fleet Techs, All it does is accelerate EVERYONES MSs so really what was the point?
Not all the updates are born from users either, as the latest "buy duels from the BM" update proves.
So while yes I fully 100% agree there are major "player" related problems, I stand by the fact that Admin is as much to blame as us, many updates are half thought out, and when they are shown to be bad updates are not removed.

DOWN WITH THE BLACK MARKET!
WHO'S WITH ME!!!

I cannot stand it. I get massed by people with cash bought duals on perminent merlin.. it makes me die inside.
Now seeing they can get 10 bought merlins? Jeez.. even worse.

Indeed, the black market has given an unfair advantage to players who appear to have a little or no social life and therefore choose to spend money on a text only game, and why they so choose to do so is completely beyond me, i find the closure of the black market by the admin would be a step forward to bringing the game back to where you grow by your own accomplishments instead of wasting money and cheating to gain an advatage just because they're too cowardly to do anything own their own. Next step would be for the players to stop the attitude of these bully's by either taking them down a notch or just massing them all to hell and making sure they'll never build up again unless the reform. Also, admin does need to get rid of some updates such as the MS tech levels, it is a mockery for those who spent the time and resources to build their MS to what it is now while someone can just buy the tech levels and outstrip other players without ever really upgrading their MS. Also, a limit of ten planets? Honestly, that is one of the dumbest things ever, I conquer planets as a conquest type of ordeal everytime I fought somone on here, and it was alot of fun to fight over planets, truly. I like building up my fleets and going out to conquer more, but I cant because someone decided that 10 planets would, what was it...oh yes, "cause the implosion of your system". Truly, if admin won't increase the number of planets to conquer, add moons then, conquer a moon and make it orbit a planet, and find a limit for those, because I miss stripping planets from players to show superiority over them when they attack me, I strike back by taking my naq back and taking their planets, just to make them think twice.
To change this game will have to be a joint effort, by both players and the admin because both are at fault.

Personally I would consider the black market to be the same as being a multi... an unfair way to grow your account.
The only difference is that admins have said yes to one and not the other
however it could work to our advantage lets say everyone who hates the BM puts in $10USD to one player that player can grow an unlimited account to destroy the players that are causing issues for others consistantly.
LOL
oh yeh btw ingame castration would mean that all UP, income and trading on that account would be suspended and there would be a notification that it has happened to that player for that reason so that everyone could mass that account as punishment.

I'm not 100% sure how this came about, but there was definite discussion about it in Player Meet last Wednesday. I don't know what was said or who suggested it, but Admin definitely did not just think of it and implement it without discussing with players first.

how is using cash cheating?
or an unfair advantage?
un⋅fair [uhn-fair]
–adjective 1. not fair; not conforming to approved standards, as of justice, honesty, or ethics: an unfair law; an unfair wage policy.
Let's see, people don't really approve of people buying stuff with $
nor is everyone in the position to buy with $
btw this doesn't say anything about whether or not i think the black market should exist

people, define people?
2 or more persons?
well how many exactly?

if someone is not in a position to spend cash, that doesn't mean the black market is an unfair advantage, maybe an advantage, but its not unfair
i do agree with you. the BM is a readily available resource to everyone, and it is the player's choice to use it or not.if you wanna buy a duel or something from the BM and dont wanna spend your own money, sell some resources for $, then pay with that $.

And that comes with high risk of scams.

Personally, I can understand the need for it, people want to support the game in different ways, fine, but it does not mean I am okay with it. Honestly, who wants to spend money on a text only game when they can use their money for something more, how can I put this, practical? Truly, those that spend money on this game are either extremely spoiled, don't know the value of a dollar, or just can't get a girlfriend.
