Hahahaha, you obviously haven't read the description of the show then Lithium.
The Previously unknown purpose of the "Ninth Cheveron" is revealed, and ends up taking a team to an Ancient ship "Destiny", a ship built millions of years ago by the Ancients, used to seed Distant galaxies with Stargates. This team, led by Dr. David Rush and Colonel Everet Young, are trapped on the ship, unable to change its programmed mission, and encounter new races, new technology and new enemies, as the runaway ship takes them to the far ends of the Universe.Read. New Technology, NEW Races, NEW Enemies. Do you not remember the ship detaching itself from one of the earlier episodes? It could have been a guy who was inside the ship, or a probe just collecting data for an enemy.
So many possibilities, and if people continiously criticize there will be no creativity and quiet frankly I like them having to many loop holes because it makes you **Filtered** sticks go mental about chaos theories rather then enjoying the show itself.

What's wrong with criticising the show? The true test of a show is if it stands up to criticism and is still seen as a good show....sg1 and sga were full of plot-holes/inconsistencies, but they were genuinely decent shows regardless.....
sgu is definitely not witty
I'm slowly appreciating parts of the character development more:-
I sympathise with Rush more now...surrounded by a bunch of kids or people not up to the job - Young looks more interesting now....bit of a death wish there? - Eli is being pulled by Young/Rush/the others/his feelings and maturity, all in different directions.
But it certainly hasn't blown me away - can you honestly say it has you? Has there been a dramatic moment that genuinely gripped you? A truly laugh out loud moment? A complete plot-twist?
Quit complaining about the criticism and defend the show - what is it that you see in the show?

Fact is this show isn't gripping, it doesn't draw you in with good characters or stories and we're all only watching it because we enjoyed SG1 & SGA.
Within in the first few episodes of SG1 we got an enemy of humanity and threat to Earth which made the goal clear, gather tech and allies to fight the Gou'ald. We also got a small group of great characters.
Within in the first few episodes of SGA we got an enemy of humanity and threat to Atlantis ( and via Atlantis, Earth ) which made the goal clear, gather tech and allies to fight the Wraith. We also got a half decent small group of characters.
In all the 6 episodes of SGA I've seen so far, we've had a cool ship ( which no one can control ), 2 good characters ( The Nerd and the solider who keeps punching people ), and a loads of lame characters sitting around waiting to be the next 'ensign expendable' hoping the ship will one day pass by another Galaxy Gate that the ancients left lying around.
As for the idea that the Destiny is seeding the far off Galaxy with stargates, if that is the case how come it isn't using shuttles to deliver gates to worlds that dont have them ? And why does it auto-connect with gates that have already been seeded ahead of it's course ? If it was a gate seeding ship it would not expect gates to already be there and auto-connect to them, and if the ancients overtook the Destiny to put the gates in front of it, why did they leave the ship on a pointless mission ?
The fans of SG1 and SGA DO have the right to criticize because we indirectly pay for the show and SGA is sold under a brand name, essentially on the promise that it will live up to SG1 & SGA.

They said that another ship or ships was or were sent in front Destiny to set gates on Planets, and Destiny is just on auto pilot flying out until the Ancients gate aboard and go on their little fun trip. Obviously the Ancients never gated on so it just kept on flying on with no one aboard, on Auto Pilot.
Anyways... they need to get it in peoples mind that they AREN'T going back to Earth.. that'd be good and allow people to move forward past the goal of getting back to earth, although I am not sure what their next goal would be. The next episode I only saw the first 3 seconds of the preview for it at the end of the last episode but I think it's about some way back to earth? I thought I heard/saw Telford say that, maybe this episode will show that they simply can't get back to earth, or give them some goal to do so.

some could potentially have boarded the destiny earlier, and left again... there's no proof that has not happened... (especially not if they did not leave any logs in the ship systems...)

'tis true I was simply basing that off that I think I heard someone say (Rush most likely) that the Ancients never came. Maybe either I or he if I was right is wrong.

You could see the Telford sabotage mission on Young's relationship with whatever her name is coming. I think that was my favourite episode to date.

It was good but the balance of the people on earth and the people on Destiny was just a bit off... more time with Destiny was needed and less with people on Earth. It's not Stargate-y enough when they can just hop skip and jump back to Earth whenever and then go clubbin' and have sex with their wives..

Instead, that **Filtered** mofo Telford is having sex with Young's girl.
Seriously, that **Filtered** must get a neckshot within the next few eps, or I'm out of this shows audience.
(Let's say it appeals to some basic emotions.)
