They made far bigger point of that in the episode than in the book...

Its interesting to see how much more they've expanded the arya/tywin interaction...

What bothered me is that they started the dark magic theme as a side story of Stanis, yet there is nothing about it in this episode. The only data about is that Stanis is 4-5days away, does that mean they are gonna focus more on that front next episode?

GRRM has a lot of threads in his story, and not all threads can be covered all the time... In the books there are whole threads that don't appear in one book, yet are central in the others.
imagine the whole story being a tapestry, each color one story. One episode will cover reds, blues and yellows, yet not the browns and greens. another will take red, green, brown and not yellow/blue, etc...

Wellllll, after being bored for a while, I started watching this and have already caught up..

I have to admit, season 1 was much, MUCH better than season 2. I actually have to restrain my self from going off to wikipedia and reading what happens in the other books... Though looking at the viewership, I think season 3 or 4 might be the last season..

I also feel the "story in the east" is just being prolonged for no freaking reason. Its like the author wanted to start all the stories at the same time but wanted to spend more time in the west so he decides to **Filtered** the eastern story. I think Dragon girl is gonna come down into the west eventually and eventually there is going to be some more politics and betrayl going on. I think the Pleasure House owner is going to ally this girl in the future (just a prediction)

Regarding "The Wall and the North", --> Ever since the fact that there is a kingdom in the north, beyond the wall as come up, the mysterious aspect of the north seems to have gone away.............. I bet you in the end, the Stark Family needs assistance and their bastard brings an army of wildlings from the north.

My personal favourite is the stuff that goes on in the Kings Landing.. They shouldn't fast forward all that stuff because its actually pretty cool interesting stuff.

I think the winner of all of these games for the throne is going to be the IMP.
favourite characters = the counsul members who always spy on each other and everyone knows that everyone is spying on each other and yet they still live happily.. Its amazing.

I have to work very hard now to force my self from not reading ahead on wikipedia, or signout these books and readin them.

ps: after watching Lost, Stargate serieses, BATTLESTAR GALACTICa, I am very certain of one thing. The producers will never explain the bond of the the wolfs with the kids and they will NEVER EVER EVER EVER explain the dreams that Bram gets.. can someone who has read the books confirm?? I am willing to bet so much on that, lol

ps2: I was pushed away from this series becuase I always thought it was set in mediville England and I hate to watch historic series/movies about England.. but started after finding out it was fictional. The actual world almost feels like a fantasy world, like that of Skyrim. Its almost as if someone made a movie of Skyrim..

ps3.. this series actually has alot of nudity.. Why does HBO always have nudity.??? after a season of this, I still stand beside the fact that Rome(HBO) was better..

we could answer your theories and questions, but that would spoil the story for you, so we wont...

lets just say that the story (all its parts) are meant to be summed up in about two books more than have been written and published... giving a total of seven books. Not going to speak of whether or not any of the storylines die / continue long beyond current TV series progression...

we can understand why... If you get impatient, try reading the books, it is worth it... (and it will take most humans quite a while to get through...)

I have to admit, in retrospect, that this episode was a bit of a weak performance on my part. Should have seen my brother's **Filtered** coming a long way in advance. ;)

Never mind. I will get her.
This was a pretty epic episode. I love my performance, even though I walk wide-eyed into a trap.

a bit sad they skipped out on the weasel stew, but no doubt they'll make up for it...

YES. WIN. Loved it. Finally some damn actual fighting scenes that were not skipped. Thank Christ. Bravo. =D>

The reason the Red Witch was not brought was because of the guy on the boat, with his son (forgot his name), told him not to.

The best Game of Thrones episode to date, absolutely brilliant and played out by The Rains of Castamere (I have a little obsession with that song) just after Tywin brings down the hammer.

Awesome episode.
The wildfire explosion was epic.
Couldn't agree more... excellent episode...

While you may have a slight (and highly sensible) fondness for the Rains of Castamere, that does not beat the greatness of dragon-fueled wildfire... And that became even better with the drumming building up to it...

We were hoping that they'd not mess up while skipping Tyrion's chain, and that they did not do.
