It is not a product of the government. Those mindless thugs are affected by what the police and government do as much as everyone else in the country are affected. Do you see us going out destroying things, looting and setting fire to buildings and cars? No. Why? Because we know how to behave. We know how to protest peacefully to get our messages across.

Blaming the government because people turn in to thugs is just brushing the blame elsewhere.

Everyone in the UK that is not taking part in the riots is living proof that this is just mindless thuggery and nothing else.

you want to know how and why it happened?

it started when a gang member was shot dead by armed police.
the family and friends held a PEACEFUL protest about the incident.
shortly after a riot broke out involving people who had NO CONNECTION to the original incident or the protest.
since then oportunistic scum have gone on a rampage through london for thrills and to try and get free goods at other people's expense.
you want an example of the kind of thing that's going on? a teenager who was not involved in the riots was sat on the floor with a broken nose, 2 men helped him up then proceeded to open his backpack and help themselves to his stuff.
there are still hundreds of police patroling the streets as a deterrant to other rioters.

the reason of these riots has a little to do with the episode of the shooting, that just brought up the anger of the low class worker, tired of fighting to live another day, perhaps one can understand this struggle only when it becomes a threat to his/her life style.
but lets think for a moment that there is no robbery and in all cities the working class gets out for a fight , a fight for their lives , for a better tomorrow. WHAT DO U THINK THAT WILL HAPPEN????

I don't see how protesting against a gov (which they are *NOT*, how many times will we have to repeat it?? They are just robbers who take opportunity of an excuse to burn and steal) justifies people destroying local shops, burning cars and buildings of local neighboors, and even worse, forcing other people to strip to rob them off their cloths, to rob off an injured and let him die get empty of his blood. It is a fair sentiment, the society & understanding between the government & the people in France is different to that in the UK. I could no more understand the reasons behind some of the riots France has had than Cole can understand what has cuased this latest outbreak of violence in the UK.

This is becuase we both look at it from the viewpoint of our societal understandings.

To be short, the reason of riots in France are UTTER BS. Excuses used (some thug getting killed) to burn stuff and steal. Well, that's how it is in France, nonsense BS by violence obsessed yungthugs. They think life is like Grand Theft Auto or Scarface..listen to hateful and sexist rap, hate the country they live in, inspite of all subsidies given to them. Spoiled brats acting like if they were poor, while they are just pretending to be so.

TBH everyone saw the social problems coming even the politicians, but politicians have short careers and generally dont plan any further ahead than their next election. They are far more interested in short term media satisfying policies, as long term policies for the good of a country are almost always unpopular.

Take social housing as an example, selling off council houses in the late 80s was great in the short term, for a few years it raised lots of money to spend on popular schemes, reduced the need to raise taxes, lowered the running costs of local authorities by removing the maintenance and upkeep of the houses. But nothing was invested in the future, 100ks of houses were sold and only a couple of K built each year, now we have waiting lists 3x higher than the total housing stock, most people on those lists will never be offered a home, the only way to get to the top of the list is to have children you cant afford to support, and without jobs paying enough to rent / buy privately we have teenagers having kids they dont even want simply so they dont have to spend they're lives living with their parents. Also because the life time tenancies weren't changed ( since it would have cost votes ) we have single people who were given 3 or 4 bedroom houses when they were married / had kids, still living in these houses while families are stuch in 1 bed flats.

This just one example, there are many in every area, sale of utility companies, education, taxation, national borrowing in the good times when we should have paid off all national debt, private borrowing against over inflated property prices etc etc, all area's have problems that could & should have been fixed, could & should still be fixed, but are NOT fixed because they would lose votes in the short term.

I sometimes wonder if the world around me is insane or blind, the cause and effects are so obvious yet remain ignored while we're fed media BS about some slapper have an affair or whatever the so called 'news of the day' might be.

You say most people dont do these kind of things, rioting, stealing etc, you're right, the ones with nothing to lose do these things, and the number of people with nothing to lose increases every year. I suppose we could do the US way, put millions into prison and use them as slave labor, that could delay the fall into anarchy by a few decades, but as things are going now I estimate we have 50 years tops, since Im 35 already with a bit of luck I wont be around to see it all fall down and my last words wont have to be 'told ya so' lol

Yes, all the neighboors who lost goods are multimillionaires! They lose a 90's Rover to rioters? No problem, they have *at least* three Jaguar in the garage and £100-300k pounds in bank! Minor casualties. Indeed.
Worsen more the life of average people, the ones who haven't much: make them lose everything by burning/stealing what they own! Such a succesful and respectable protest. For crying out loud, can you believe what you are writing? I *really* hope you don't!

Of course people pay for damages done, all the mess done by the rioters, it's taxpayers (not the rioters most of time not being taxpayers) who pay for the damages! And you expect people to give moral/ground support to rioters? ROFLMAO WTH!

few posts before i made some question , not because i didnt know why,how and etc but just to recall the situation and make one think about it without being involved.

this situation will go one for few more days as it organized and its just on its peak now. those protesting for a better life are being infected by this scum , the police is out numbered and also have to deal with the scum grabbing everything and bring more ppl to do it so they can hide, and in the middle are the victims.


what brought those ppl in the streets in not that guy shoot-ed but the hard reality they are living. the criminal bands used it and as long as there ar eppl in the streets this will go on , Im just surprised how the police has abandoned some areas leaving free hands to gangs. this makes me believe that these bands are far more organized.

i mentioned before tat if the protest go fair and expand in many cities calling for reforms to improve their life then the government is in trouble, but if it goes by the actual scenario that big trouble will be avoided with some collateral damages.

Ok the big stores like the owners of Curry's and such have insurance policies to cover all this. The only ones affected with them are employees losing sales bonuses, which in this time might actually be responsible for keeping food on the table.

There was an interview with 2 local girls boasting about showing it to the cops and the 'rich' when they burnt down FAMILY run businesses. Small businesses are struggling, and employ local people and yet these fools think they are being cool. I'm in a right mind to organise a little crack team and crack some thugs' heads open. lol
