Also, if you are using gay as an insult, that surely means you dont like homosexuals, correct? So why the homophobia here?

And to ward off any future posts, NO I am not gay, but I DO believe gays have equal rights as straights. One of those rights being "to be free from abuse in any form" (yes, using their sexuality as an insult can be abusive)

I'm not gonna say "stop insulting each other" (like anyone would listen...) but just don't abuse people by questioning their sexuality.

I never said he was gay, nor did I imply that being gay is a bad thing. What I DID do was suggest that there may be reasons behind his obsession with the term, which caused him to consider the situation, and his own homophobia and insecurity led to him taking it as an insult. Referring him to that information is pretty much calling him gay...why else would you put it there? You pretty much IMPLYed that he might be gay by referring him to something saying "If I call you gay, that means I must be gay too." Its just as bad as going "YOU ARE GAY!!!!!!!!SHIFTONE!!!@#$!!!!"

It was in no way my intention to imply that he was gay, only to suggest he thinks before calling other people gay. Personally, if you know UQ, you wouldn't put on an upper-class accent.

I do know UQ...I live in Queensland also lol...I wasn't using the "upper-class" accent to reflect on UQ... moreso what you hear from upperclass people (or see on TV)

I smelt AGA and wanted to come clear out an infection. It worked. No more AGA. As for the other places you find me, well that was your fault not mine. Which leads to me saying this is the perfect place for me right here.

Probatio diabolica: why would an inquiry into your (for arguments sake) sexality be insulting? It`s rudness does not depend only on the perception of the one asking you if youre gay, it depends on YOUR perception. Ergo, if you`re upset at the implication (and subsequently move to the offensive by claming "homofobia") does this not more clearly illustrate YOUR homofobia? Afterall it is you claiming it is insulting... One assumes you percive "being gay" wrong if the very implication insults you.

Its like asking you if youre an american these days. Sure ppl may not love you but weather or not you find it insulting is based on how well at grips you are with either being american and/or americans...
