Somewhere in spain, it was over a year ago so it could be a number of cities. The picture was taken during siesta so no one else was in the streets except us

There's nothing like siesta time in Spain. As much as I value hard work, it's relaxing to an almost otherwordly level. Being dumb students looking far too much like tourists, we were still wandering around Barcelona and found that a lot of business just left their doors unlocked during that time. We would go into a store and see the owner and a worker and maybe a friend just sitting there relaxing. They would stare at us for a moment and then go back to ignoring us. And you got the feeling that there was no amount of money that was going to get them to work during that time

It was refreshing to find people with such different priorities from those a lot of us are raised with.

It is a different way of life, I would just go to the beach until the stores opened. Spain is such a beautiful country. Switzerland is way better though.
