If you want it to be statistically accurate, you need to subtract the 20 worst votes as well, otherwise your results are skewed toward one side or the other.

Why would I do that? The people biased against the mods are not the ones on trial here.
BTW Jack: You've now been an ombudsman for aslong as I was. Please tell us what you've done? This isn't to insult you, just to show the other n00bs that it's impossible to do much in less than 24 hours..

Nobody said you didn't do anything in 24 hours. I think the point of this matter, from this "Eros Hate Club", is that what you did was ridiculous and unneccessary. In fact, I think you've done more, for good or bad, than most people in their first day in their position.

Well why run it as an honest, unbiased poll then? All my feelings on this aside, you're screwing your results mathematically as you won't get a true representation of the community. Even at that, you need a larger sample of votes to make it fairly accurate, even throwing the skewness aside.

I don't care if it's biased. There are people 100% for mods no matter what just like there are 100% against mods. Can you simply not comprehend that if one makes a poll on what the community thinks about the mods, the mods simply cannot vote for themselves?

Well then your results can't be taken at face value because they won't be a true representation of the community. You have eliminated the variable of the mods, but you haven't done anything to equal out that variable to make it fair. In essence, your poll is useless if you don't do something about it.

Actually Phoenix some of your fellow extremists did say that. And what did I do that was soooo bad?
All I did was make a poll to let me know if others thought that Spacey called me a woman. Is that sooo evil? Cause your acting as if I hacked the forums and corrupted the database.
I will tell you exacly what I have done as an ombudsman right now:
#1 I read all their threads.
#2 I replied to over 15 of them.
#3 I made a suggestion on how to improve the respect group. (there is no rule that an ombudsman cannot make an honest suggestion.
#4 Apparently people in the Respect group felt violated that I posted in their section (note that there was nothing posted or said to me to let me know prior of that). As soon as Zerathul told me, I appologized and asked the mods to move the thread out of their section. Wolf also pointed out to me that the respect group is only for respectfull people, and that my thread suggestion was off cause of it (so I then appologize for that too). The mods have yet to move the thread out of the respect group after several requests from me.
#5 A person approaches me on MSN complaining about Nimras prematurely locking several threads. I investigate.
#6 One of my replies to a thread is mocked by Spacey by him calling me a woman (in my interpretation and as of right now, 27 others').
#7 I call him out on it on MSN, he refuses to admit that I could even interpret is as such, therefore I make a poll to answer our questions.
#8 Spacey gets massed by DHM because of personal reasons and because he too thought I was insulted (I did not ask DHM to mass Spacey, I even asked him to stop any future masses).
#9 Wolf innapropriately moves my thread to a unrelated section (I believe he did it so he could hide it from the General Public), so I Warned him.
#10 Smoosh threatens me to stop trying to figure out if Spacey called me a woman, I refuse, he fires me.
All I did was make a poll to let me know if others thought that Spacey called me a woman. Is that sooo evil? Cause your acting as if I hacked the forums and corrupted the database.

Why will it not? If they believe the mods are doing a bad job, why can't they voice their opinion? You are 100% for the mods, your vote counts, so do theirs. You or they are not the ones on trial.
Now don't try to say that mod's should be counted too then because I've already explained that several times.

Actually, I approve of one through five, even the respect one, which once both sides realized their was a miscommunication, dropped it until you hit number six and that's where your slow sail to success suddenly hit an iceberg. You had plenty of times to choose to abandon ship, but instead you tied yourself to an anchor

Holy crap, try to stick with me here Eros, it's my understanding that you're in a university as well, so surely you can focus long enough. Now watch closely:
I DO NOT CARE THAT THE MODERATORS' VOTES ARE REMOVED, NOR AM I SUGGESTING PUT THE PEOPLE ON TRIAL. I'm saying that since you're removing the first 20 votes of the highest category, to even it out and make it an accurate representation of the community, you also have to remove the 20 lowest votes, otherwise you've got a screwed poll that doesn't mean diddly <modded>. At least try to read and understand what I'm saying before you pop off another useless reply.

I don't think you understand why I removed 20 votes. I removed them because there are 20 some mods, and they obviously voted for themselves, so I removed them. If mods would have voted very bad, I would have removed those too, but they naturally voted very good.

No, it's quite annoying, you have no idea what I'm talking about and have no interest in trying to understand what I'm saying. Anyone with a basic understanding of statistics would see what I'm trying to say.
Edit - And by the way, you're assuming that all 20 mods actually voted.
