Hardly our fault no one else posts here , but seriously, if we are debating FS's mafia likeness its in the right place, if someone else wants to join in their more than welcome. It wasnt a Private Confo otherwise it'd of been in PM.

Nobody posts here because it should have died a long time ago. But the 5,000 posts regarding FS being 'mafia' kept it going. Posting back and forth when it is just the two should probably be in PM.

Just my opinion.

so let us get back to the topic at hand, gang-like alliance coalitions in the game

Okay getting back on topic then.

What is an alliance supposed to do?

To me it's supposed to provide:

- Protection
- Help/Education
- Community
- Other things depending on the alliance

Now various alliances provide that in different ways - some are diplomatic to the core, warnings, talks, treaties, compromises. Some though are more aggressive - warnings, then attacks, and some of course just attack.

By watching the GC you can tell which alliances are which and which individuals will go more diplomacy. Now sometimes you'll just get someone on a bad day and they might just decided to be aggressive, that's always a chance and a risk.

But if I get someone in my alliance to attack XYZ for me 'cos he attacked me then that's not so bad. Yeah it's bad if it's meant to be a one on one fight. Getting someone outside your alliance to protect you is something a little different.

So... really what do we have here... FS is an alliance that protects itself aggressively though they can be diplomatic when approached appropriately. Mayhem is in a similar situation. But there will always be times when no one wants to talk.

I got hit in ascension the other day by someone not in the current war. I didn't even warn them. Our ascension strike team was online and ready so we just added him to the target list. Should I have warned him? Perhaps. But that's sometimes just how it happens. Now was that being a mafia gang... yeah probably since it was a team effort but that is what an alliance is meant to do - work together as a team to cover each others weaknesses so that the sum is stronger than the individuals.

If you don't want to be attacked then you have to become cautious and diplomatic. It can be done but it does require a soft touch on the words and actions.

FS is as much as an extorter as a as a sleeping rabbit winning in a turtle race. Maybe its time you cool your mouth as you only talk rubbish. Heck maybe ill even make a comeback and aid FS in their war with u as people like u deserve nothing more then a sgw life without a defence
