I will say we've won more then we've lost. That's all. We have had our a$$ handed to use quite a few times though.

Do you know Santa Clarita? If you don't you would probably know Magic Mountain better then the city itself.

Pianomutt, I've spent several weeks in Woodland Hills, nice town. Rains about two weeks a year, the rest of the time, as long as you got a gas mask, it's heaven.
My country of birth is smaller than New Jersey (for those of you that aren't acquainted with that AWESOME state, well, it's small), but I currently reside in central New York state. Rather close to Canada. For some reason, at the local college football games, they have both flags up and sing both anthems, I have nothing against Canada, it just seems weird.
And on the note of blind American patriotism and ignorancy, I just have a general feeling that much of it is due to the Cold War - all the way up the late '80s, there was so much propaganda being spewed on both sides that history books essentially stopped teaching "real" history. Both the US and USSR were terrified of the other side and went overboard trying to breed patriotism at home. I can also personally vouch that a lot of the same blind patriotism existed in the USSR until it, well, crumbled apart. Point is - don't be hating on us Americans, we aren't all stupid, unfortunately, the world's leading proponent of democracy didn't elect it's current leader (well, at least first time around we didn't), so yea, don't be hating us for our foreign policy or anything else like that, I personally didn't write it, neither did Pianomutt, or anyone else on this forum. If there was a Danish person in here would I criticize him for the insensitivity of the Muhammed cartoons? No.
-chunky
edit - writing danish makes me hungry
