Who cares about the black market. If you have the cash, burn it baby.

Buying resource for the game is no different then playing online casino or bingo for some of the oldies out there.

If you make $500 dollars a month, you have 3 children, mortgage then yes, spending money on a text based game is crazy, but if your cash flow is good, then why not.

You could say buying beer, ciggies etc is a waste of time.

Onto if sgw is dying.

Yes. The server war is proving pointless. It is like trying to melt ice in a freezer.

There is no goal, being no 1 alliance, no 1 player means nothing. I think the game needs to be made so your race means more then your buddies.

The game itself has been spoilt as it does not matter of your 3 mil player or a 300mil player, a 3 mil player can still mass a large account. This game requires no thinking. Just hit the attack button and away you go.

With the addition of ME, you get players who think being no 1 is great, which you can say thats cool, it is a game based on attacking. But is it?

No one now builds defences on planets as a noob can take planets easily at a cost though.

In ANY game, be on-line, pc, console etc, it has always been difficult what level to pitch a game. Some players will be turned off if they have to work out strategy, some will be happy as no thinking is required, just attack/raid button.

HOWEVER, the first point is to stop how cheap it is to mass someone.
Second point, make wars winnable.

Do this and the rest will fall into place. Get the game mechanics right, then add things that increases the fun factor but not the game play itself.

Thats my rambling done for this morning, some more Tauri need my attention

the game is almost dead, the remains old players are still here just to hold their tags and say Once i was the leader and remember the old brotherhood when a war was fun and when the wars werent happening that frequently.

admins started to release update to eat our army , to make it vulnerable and also found a way to balance it with the recover rate,

there were more wars , big players were unstoppable, and the % of the new accounts that quit the game within 1-3 months was very big

some how this updates killed the spirit of the game

now ppl plays just numbers, there are no more feelings of massing smone or being massed.

the problem is not the admin have some option to make $ but the way hes releasing them.
each time there is a new update to bring $ instead one to fix the balance or improve the game by bringing a new concept of a free game playing.

I don't read this thread often due to the gigantic long post fest but I reckon that Plague Capacity should be more intense because some people like that [AG] Thor are already over 500M army size..

Hmm, Personally i think it is more the updates rather then the black market.

Sure.. you can buy a dual for $50 if you want.. but you have a chance of losing it and easily since the new MS updates. Actually odds are against you of keeping it.

Since these MS updates to mass someone if you have a big MS with around a 500bil strike your losses have been greatly reduced. Someone said before something about people not caring about the numbers they are losing.. Thats true and i think even more people arnt caring anymore because your losses have been cut by so much.

Also alot of the ascended Updates are jokes.. but not many people play ascended anymore so meh.

I keep farming and spending my DMU in ascended, but i really don't know why anymore. I can add 50 to a tech at vast expense and it makes next to no difference, if i mass someone it takes me 2 weeks to recover due to the cap and takes them a fraction of the time.

if i build up for rank i actually make significantly less AT's so i can't farm as often, what is the point building stats when you are rewarded for not having any via the Turn generation rate and the rank based stat modifiers?
