I have sacked plenty millions of UU to make sure my ascended account is strong enough to NOT get descended. If this 1 month rule goes into effect, im simply putting vacation mode and wont play ascension anymore. No one can actually be beaten, and its just a fancy replica of the main server.

Im not going to waste all my hard earned resources reascending for the sole purpose of taking away 5% of someones bonus for a MONTH. It actually makes me laugh! Next thing you know, ascension is going to go to the exact path that main is currently at. People build into the trillions of power and never worring about ever being completely defeated.

Crimson, it's not that bad, you see they lose all bonuses for the month. and seeing on how you can do it each month well you get the point.

as for vaction that won't be an option. as you won't be able to be on vaction in ascension *only*.


Secondly, as it currently stands you can only descend someone who is not active, active player will just log in and repair weapons, and set to critial.

so anyone playing Ascended need not worry about this update. Anyone who ascends and then just doesn't play well, they will get the message quickly that they need to pay attention.

you can keep de-scending them month after month so they would be weaker then the 4 base races until the end of time!!!!!!!!!

you bring up a very good point. By the time a month passes and someone can be descended again, you'd have more then enough AT to descend them again....

and Tok_Ra.... remember how it was said that if you don't piss people off in ascension you'd be fine? well, I'd advise you to shut up now, before you piss people off enough to want to descend you.

Yeah - I think I am happy now - it was just that having re-read it I wondered why he would say that the main account is descended - all that needed to be said was that ascended bonuses are lost.

i think people are missing that after you get descended you have no def and if they attacker wishes no real planets to speak of cause they have been destroyed. after a week no one has a big enough expansion to recover cause you can be attacked after that first week which means you are just barely have anything when that attacker can start taking you out again and then one month they descend you again.

i think forum needs to state how he thinks the personal attacks are gonna work and how you lose life force before we go in to what effect a desension has on main or ascension itself. cause if it is as hard as everyone thinks its gonna be then you have to really make someon angery since after they descend you they would have lost a lot and would then be easier to ascend

i agree that there should be some changes in the ascension server however this new upcoming update could seriously lead people to just go on vacation, it is hard as it is to maintain your ascended account esp when your begining, and the threat that someone could decend you permanently could just prompt people to go on vac, vacation can allow them to keep bonus, then when main has enough glory pts and ascension pts, then ascend once again...

Just consider.. 1month is A LONG TIME, this game has only been around for what? 16? 17?

Its a hell of a long time to lose all bonuses... MUCH WORSE than losing 1 level each month, since you could easily ascend 2 or 3 times in 1month...

You want to kill people? Admins way is probably the most effective way..

The way Im leaning is lose ALL ascended bonuses for 1 month (forum's idea) and then once that month is up, you come back to 5% less than what you had...

But in all seriousness:

a. You dont lose anything you cant regain in main - like someone else said, just reascend lol. Not like youre losing miners or anything.

b. Hurts your account a lot - I agree that 1month without 30% bonuses to everything is A TON - definitely hurts an account, hurts it hard.

c. However, I also feel like a lot of guys here want some permanent damage done to a descended realm - so how about doing that 5% reduction ON TOP OF the 1 month "im grounded and gonna sit in the corner" thing?

Oh and about the vacation mode thing - wolfs idea was right on, either link vacation in both or make it so that vacation in ascension results in loss of bonuses in main (for duration of vacation).

Tok'ra, sorry, but ascension is NOT a bonus to your main account - it is in a way a part of it, and the 5% bonuses you get in each stat are just that - bonuses. Bonuses are earned - in this case, for playing ascension. If you play ascension poorly and get descended - no more bonus. Ok?

And plus, dont worry, noone will descend you unless you piss them off. Its a big waste of turns. And my personal 2 cents - give ascension a try before you write it off? You ascended yesterday, come on you cant even try it for a week? In my humble opinion ascension is in many ways (not all) much much better than main.

I have not read this whole thread cos it's first time I've looked at it and it's already 14 pages so my apologies if I repeat anyone.

Basically I like it a great deal. I think the timeing is perfect and would like to see this implemented as soon as possible. I would also like to see something in place that will link ascension and main when going on vacation so that people cannot leave ascended accounts on vacation and continue to play main. If one is vacation then both should be

it sounds interesting...mixed feeling on this tho. one month is long but justified and keeping ur ascended weapons in main isn't bad. i do agree that it may be open to abuse like constantly descending ppl for a reason. however, i dun see anyone respected and powerful doing that kind of thing for fun. even if the GA 'rules ascension', they hab restrainst to use their attack turns wisely. overall, i would hab liked to seen the removal of 1 total asc each time but oh well ^_^

I dont realy like the idea of having and effect on main if you descend on ascension, but it makes sence. However one month thing is crazy, if you get massed you dont magicly get your weopons back a month later, you gota earn them back.

That ALMOST sounds like main, execpt that in main you play poorley,your acount in that server suffers.

In asencdion, you dont play and you get the only server you play messed up.

Im seriously considering quitting this account if this affects me, afterall we all KNOW that as soon as there are alliance wars people will impliment the 'decend their ascended guys!!11' strategy.

The red part is entirely true, especily since the two servers are tied together.
Besides, when I ascended I was under the impression that asencion server was just a new server you had to ascend on main to have the choice to play.

okay, this is a way too long a post, can someone reply to this abt some concerns abt new players, i have just come on ascended server like a few weeks back, and my next ascension wont be 4 sumtime. for nopw all i have been concentrating on is my up, to get a better start and then build a bit of a def and cov, so what do new players do to protect themselves against players who have been on this server quite long and are wayy more powerful than them? im really sorry if sumone has already answered this ques, but on my limited time i cant go thru 14 pages of exceptionally long msgs. so if sumone can just answer this or paste an already posted answer, that wud be really helpful. also, i really liked the idea of being protected by sumone in the ascended server, u kno, the one that new players can use as an umbrella protection.

p.s i just got access to ascended portion of forums, thats y i was late in gettin here, ty wolf359 again for the access

Try not to piss a big player off, same as in Main. That aspect isn't any different from any other server, no matter where your playing, if your new and inexperienced, you don't stand a chance against the big players.
