Well, I know this will go over like a lead turd, but what about tieing your MS "size" to your realm size? Meaning the bigger you are, the bigger your MS can be.
Think about it for a min or two, I know the knee jerk reaction will be immediate dislike, but think on it.
players over the UU limits are handicapped drasticly. This would be a way to give them back a small advantage, but it would require them to actually use it. Also it would hurt those who intentionally sell down to give up no income. if you dont have a realm size to support a rasnk 1 MS then you can't have one?

So you wanna have players that have nothing but miners and lifers, just so they don't get massed and lose their MS power because their army size decreased? If you think about it, you're basically trying to reward players that don't actually play. Anyone that's THAT worried about army size is either avoiding war thinking it's all about having the largest army size or they're selling resources for $. Basically you'd encourage players to have MS sniper accounts. It's what I'd do. Max out my army size, have only miners and lifers. Bank my naq and invest in my MS. Then I can just go around lose no army and just MS mass everyone.
Admin needs to keep from adding more bonuses...

Erm, except that MS power against a realm, is based on your attack force. So sure, you have only 1 super, with 1 weapon, and your MS adds 300,000 damage to your ground forces.But so what, those accounts would be useless against people whom send their MS out, or don't have a decent one, like myself
I agree with your idea Lore. Atm, large army size is just a risk factor. You can't buy UU, and sometimes not even raid. You make large amounts of naq over night, dispute what you do, and in order to try to protect it, you build decent defences, which just get massed anyway.

You would not be able to improve it beyond its capacity unless you took the improve weapons/shields option if at the cap, yes.
Sounds fair to me.

Since you probably have a crappy MS, I'll forgive your ignorance in matters regarding a MS...
Let's say I have 1T volley power on my MS. I only need to have 500b strike power + AB to have full volley power added to my ground forces. For me, that's 500k supers + mercs all armed + planet bonuses. My 1-2T strike power will most likely topple most defenses with ease. Currently being an UnNamed, it's not uncommon to be able to get more than enough blessings + I have little to no losses.
That's beside the fact. If I were in an alliance and Lore's suggestion were put into use, my primary role would be to MS mass so the rest of the alliance can go in and wipe the defenses... hence not needing a strike. Therefore I maintain my full army size and I keep full use of my MS. I wouldn't need to mass ground defenses to be effective. Just taking out the largest motherships would greatly help out my alliance to allow them to go in and get full MS bonuses and minimize their losses.
Admin, please refrain from ruining the game and adding bonuses...

Hello? That's my point... people building accounts just to house huge motherships. Why build a defense when I can just nox/crit when I can't be online and bank every so often? Or just have my alliance farm my naq when I'm off PPT to build their own accounts. It's not like I can't just arm 1 strike super and farm anything I lose within an hour anyways.
Hey admin. Stop adding bonuses. Enough already!

Hello? That's my point... people building accounts just to house huge motherships. Why build a defense when I can just nox/crit when I can't be online and bank every so often? Or just have my alliance farm my naq when I'm off PPT to build their own accounts. It's not like I can't just arm 1 strike super and farm anything I lose within an hour anyways.
Mmm, but that's a problem in any instance

Sarevok when u ll put enough effort to farm 800-1Q naq to build a MS then get here and talk about capping yr MS coz u need 100m uu.
getting 300m uu is 150T only which a medium farm gets in 3-4 months. and that solution will only held ppl from building strikes based on uu and use them. if not then playing sniper fits , a sniper wit 300m army isnt diffrent from smone at 150m

I dont like the housesidea at all.
I had an idea for MS's. A dockingstation where you can reload/rebuild your MS at cheaper costs/alliancebank(perhaps/perhaps not funded by alliancebank) but it takes time to get it back (24-28 hours).
Choose for volleys/shields to buy back or fleet.
An interesting addition to this is that the Dockingstation should be destroyable. Defenses should be bought on the dockingstation by alliancebank.
Even maybe see the dockingstation as a planet that can be MPDSD'ed for only 1 or 2 days a week.

I got a great idea for Motherships,
If the target has 0 def, and there mothership is not out,
You can sab away there mothership weapons and shields, lower than the weapons rate say, 1% per sab.
Lets face it some people have invested alot of $$ into there MS's i dont see if fair that others should have to do the same in order to do them damage, sabbing is pretty even across the field, or at least it will be when the update comes alive,
So 0 def = sabbing of MS weapons/shields.

[/spoiler]Sure, and when you build planet defences the size of ones i've previously built, then you can comment on fleets, planet defences, platforms and MS tech. Sounds fair.
Why spend 27.5T for the first 50k weapons and 50k shields to protect, for 100b power, when i could spend that on a planet, and get 121B. And keep it merlined.
Why spend 440T on 200k weapons and 200k shields to protect them, for 400b, when i could build a planet to 486B, which doesn't diminish during battle and need repairs? Or better still, 2 planet with a combined defence of 657B, 1 merlined, and one with 550k defences.

In that case I really would hate it. People (those who spend cash and those who don't) did a lot of effort o come tho this point. It wouldnt be fair.
