I do wish to have one final address in this thread, as what I said was quoted as something that mods were trying to hide (ie. the implication that mods wanted to hide the possibility of getting an additional mt).
I am doing this, not to reopen the issue, but to explain it to only those people who did not rush to form a judgement based on what a few people told them to believe. There are many people who just jumped on the bandwagon to vent their misplaced anger toward mods, without thinking about what they were seeing, and what they didn't see.
That claim (seen in brackets above) is totally false, and my words were explained (by someone who wasn't me) in a light that was totally wrong and against what I was talking about.
If someone has a question about what someone says, then ask them. I'm not talking about making a thread : the pm system is in place and avaliable for everyone. You don't make a tread to as someone a private/sensitive/personal question, and sending a pm doesn't prevent anyone from making a thread later on.
What happened in this case is that members of this forum looked to the person who did not type those words to explain to them what was being talked about.
It doesn't make sense to ask someone who wasn't part of the discussion, or another who is no longer a mod about what was being talked about. What is done then is hearing something important after a 'broken telephone' effect. That process is not appropriate in this case, and really won't get you very far in life.
It seems like more and more people want something to believe that something is 'under the board' or there is some kind of a conspiracy with mods against users, rather than not. At times, I get the impression that people are looking for something to complain about, and I will explain how this falls into that category.
I have already outlined the components of my post earlier in this thread, and I won't be doing it again. I willl go straight to the issue at hand:

How about a planet? We get one planet each? Our ID's we won't be singled out, and people could really be none the wiser (we could have bought it or used mt's)
Or a choice: UU, or a planet? (or another combination).
really sums up how some of the administration know it won't be liked but are happy to cover it up.

In this case, the issue was presented as something being covered up by the administration. It was done by people not involved in that thread or part of the mod discussion.
What I was talking about was mod ID's. You can even see that I do use the term "ID's" in that same sentance.
I said:
"Our ID's we won't be singled out, and people could really be none the wiser (we could have bought it or used mt's)". I was saying that if we did this, then there would be no way to be conclusive that it was a mod ID. It (the planet) could have been bought with naq or the 3 mt's could have been used. There wouldn't be nothing to conclusively tie it to md ID's.
Why did I say that:
Not every mod would like thier ID to be known. What I suggested would be a way to protect thier identity, and I suggested it only for that reason.
What I said was only in the context of protecting mods IDs. Nothing more.
I'd would ask each of you to look back at how you behaved in this and other threads in light of this information, and come to a conclusion about your behaviour being appropriate or not.
There are some that will say/think 'you should have just said that to begin with'. To that I respond with (and you can quote me on this):
You should not have jumped to conclusions knowing very little about what was being discussed. Nor should any belief/credit be held/given in what people were saying (who were not part of that thread, or had access to the mod area to read it for themselves) about what was being discussed and policies that they think (incorrectly) that the administration holds. You became part of the tide in the 'fear mongering' that was taking place. If you had sent a couple of pm's outlining your concern, you would have learnt differently from what was being said were the reasons. This 'lack of faith in mods' trend is based (as it seems to have started with the mod name tag and mt) on nothing.
All of the arguement here are for nothing. To have no faith in mods because of a name tag, and this (what some people told you to believe being incorrect)...what is it for? To me, it seems totally blown out of proportion.
THINK. THINK. THINK. Think about what you see, and what you don't see. Don't follow what someone says blindly. Think for yourself.
If you do wish to 'rant' this further, please send a pm or create a thread with my name in it in this section.
