Are you kidding me? It was probably the worst follow-up episode possible from last week's.....
At the end of the last episode, Scott sent a kino back through so they'd find it, capture a creature, cure themselves, and get rid of the contaminated water.....when did all this happen? Finding a kino with yourselves all dead on it is pretty damn traumatic....wouldn't anyone bring it up in this episode? Not even in the damn pshyc evaluations?

It was a complete waste of an episode.....they found a chair and we got some more boring soap drama back on earth, in fact, we probably spent more time on earth yet again.....probably the worst episode to date....certainly a very poor follow-up from what was quite an exciting episode.....
Re: Stargate universe

oh noes! lesbians! everyone run!!!!

seriously though... who cares?
stargate has long had a tendency to bring up heated topics from modern society in various manners... (like extremist religion & the ori or for that matter the concept of corrupt gov't black ops...)

SGU deals more with some aspects of the human mind than SG1 and SGA did... live with it, or just dont watch it... or are you afraid of the ideas brought up?

Re: Stargate universe

its not mindless...
oh, and a spoiler:
the reasoning behind eli always controlling the kino's is revealed somewhat here... he's one of the few that know how to steer them, and the best kino "pilot"... obviously the others dont mind him doing it, even if it annoys them at times...
and some speculations:
we have a theory on one that might try to use the chair... that half-mad, out-of-control sergeant Spencer... he's got that medicine need that is close to running out, so he's dying in the long run anyways... but we doubt the master control code is all that easy to get to anyways... its too early in the show... but they'll learn something at least...
Re: Stargate universe

I just watched the new SGU and was dissapointed that it had no link to the last episode and went off on a tangent that made no sence to me

Re: Stargate universe

it would, for the most part, be a waste to have filmed a third version of the cleaning events... it was obvious it would be solved the third time, and they like doing those crazy, unexpected things in stargate... after all, who'd expect them to not film that part?

Re: Stargate universe

no i agree i just thought after the best episode so far they would keep a standard close to that (hoping it would be a 2 parter) but have thrown out another "filler" episode

Re: Stargate universe

it was a bit too concluded to be a two-parter...

but we suspect next episode will be a two-parter, considering that it'll be the mid season break...
*sniffles*
its 13 days till it airs!

*mourns not getting weekly dose of SGU*

Re: Stargate universe

I thought it obvious that this episode would not be about the water and disease. That was exactly what the last one was about? It'd be the same exact episode except this time they would get the Kino early enough and it be clear enough for them to solve the problem without a hitch. Would seem to be a pointless episode to me...

I don't like all the "earth drama" as it was referred to though. I want more action, more exciting things happening, more Sci-Fi and less Soap Opera. I don't watch this show to see who's hooking up with who, and what their lives are like back on earth (exclusively, obviously it's interesting in small doses) the show seems to be split 50/50 between Stargate and Days of our Lives.

apparently the americans have something called "thanksgivings" next weekend, so they're not airing SGU that weekend...

Re: Stargate universe

I havent read all the post on this topic and not sure what everyone thinks of the first 9 episodes of SGU but my god

the ship is in the command of a love sick nutjob

the one marine is a phsycopathic nutjob

Dr rush i think is a closest Wuss and needs to get back to the whacko days in the first lot of episodes where he was atleast funny at some points

and the rest of the crew is just a bunch of manic depressives who have no sense of what they are actually doing and at the first sign of trouble have **Filtered** there bricks everytime they come out of FDL oh and hes a thought i have never in my life of watching SGA or SGU so far seen a toilet im sure there maybe but i havent ever seen any of them in rooms how strange is that

oh and Eli im pretty sure is the first galatic perv with them kino's hes always got them and looking at videos of people either that or hes guna go insane and start murdering people

sorry about that rant guys but just what i thought so far of the first 9 episodes

oh and yes there are airing on thanksgiving well the next episode is friday 4th december

Re: Stargate universe

there's a few, but not many episodes that we consider terrible... we cant name them though, as we cant remember names (we simply do not re-watch them... at all...)
