using the word TRILLION...........is part of the problem, but really the entire sig still insults me everytime I read it, especially with me knowing the rules of selling things on this forum

when i read that. it seems to me that you are selling something and i should contact you to find more

if you took that away from sig there would be no problem

I don't have 1 trillion naq in my bank, so I don't know how I could have been selling it for the past 4 months as only occaisonally do I let my bank get that full. furthermore, the rule CLEARLY states that selling ingame resources is illegal, but since I haven't sent a resource to another account in probably 6 months, it would be hard to accuse anything that I do or my sig says of being cheating.

so, instead of personally attacking me and wolf, why don't you actually bring something to the conversation.

lets get this thing back on topic.

if you notice i have completely blown 2 ideas of this stupid limited AT's out of the water. scroll up and read a little bit. then change your sig.

BELIEVE me... if somebody wants 1 trillion pet rocks at said rate, I can provide them upon reciept of payment. However this entire discussion is off-topic, and this will be my last post regarding my signiature OR the pet rocks that I have for sale, so if you are interested in pet rocks or discussing my sig, please do it privately.

lol yet it is still there blatantly breaking the rules and the only reason it is allowed to stay up is due to the fact that you are arguing wolf's point. what good is a rule if it is enforced selectively?

on the point of unlimited turns means more UU. your saying 15 turns every 30 mins?? ok so i log on maybe 3 times a day due to work/school/taking care of my kid. and you say i should be able to raid 1 time with 15 turns when i log on? that gives me an average of 45 turns a day. at 30 per turn thats not much. hell at 60 per turn thats not much. so basically your argument of 15 turns every 30 mins is saying that whoever has the most time to spend on the game will get to grow more which if im not mistaken is what your trying to prevent is it not?

Please clarify this statement.

"sry crazy, but the idea has been "blown" outa the water many times over, but some person's logic justs goesa round in circles and cant comprehend the death of an idea."
Judo... (this isnt aimed directly at you.. plz don't take offence) you guys arent responding directly to all of my posts, you seem to just skip them and repeat the same old you should work for your strength argument.. which you will still be able to do, you will always be able to buy turns... even if the turns are cut off from the market, people used to sell turns when 1 was generated every 30 min.. not 3 every 30 min. Look at chaos...

"Reducing the turns in the game will not reduce the average growth rates in the game for the lower players, it will stay the same, its maths... more turns used means less resources gained per hit, all that means is more time that people spend on the game... If you are going to repeat the argument above that unlimited turns means more uu, then please respond to this."

I know no one has really responded to this, can someone please respond to it? And not some statement that people who work should go further... please. If you don't understand how this works exactly... I can provide a better explanation :)

This game used to be able to be played by the casual player and they used to do alright, its impossible now unless they already have strength.

I believe I talked to you on msn about this, and we even came to an agreement. Yes, reducing/getting rid of the market would increase the uu supply, and thus would give larger uu payouts while raiding, but at the same time it would become completely, and totally, impossible to catch up to the top players. Currently you can do that. With this system you can't. That is our entire point. If you don't understand how this works exactly...Well, we have already gone over that, lol. It would simply give the players with the larger UP's an advantage that would be impossible to overcome.

I stoped posting in this thread because of the circular arguments we are going through, we are obviously not getting anywhere in this discussion anymore. All the points for both sides can be found in the first 5-6 pages.

Yeah... I had a think about it, I still think it would make it easier, (requiring less work)... like as it is its basically killing the casual player, lol your right.. it is mostly circular. However before this market stuff was introduced... it was easier to catch up to the top players, without hours of work, you could still buy at's and farm.. (quite profitably)... I think it would return to this somewhat, the timeframe wouldnt change much though... actually I wonder if people can ever catch up >_<... planets and such making the catching up of up thing which was always how people could catch up... I'm rambling :-D. Your right in that it lets a few people catch up... but thats only mabye 10 outa 1000's, and the uu that lets them catch up is taken from the other 9990... (bad examples/numbers but you know what I mean) Does anyone think that nothing needs to be done to make it easier to catch up?

Something needs to be done allright. The growth curve in this game has been exponential since the start. Since then, what has been done to fix the catching up problem? Officer naq bonuses, increased naq per turn, increased turns, market. The problem is, all of these solutions have served to feed the problem. Instead of an exponential curve, we now have a way of beating this curve. It was hard enough catching up on the exponential curve, so imagine how bad it is going to be.

The only way to make sure people will be able to catch up in the future is to make sure the exponential curve is flattened. I have already mentioned how that could be achieved. Simply make miners die on defense. The number of miners that die is a percentage of your army size, varied by factors like relations, damage dealt/received, rank. The larger your army, the more you stand to lose. People with the highest UP will have the biggest army. However, after a certain amount of time, their army will stop growing, because they are losing more units on defense than their UP can replace. Say that for instance if you have 365 times your UP, you will on average lose as many UU as you gain. This is of course if you get attacked an average amount of times per day. Good diplomacy will work for you by staving off attacks and keeping your army large. Raiding will also help keep it up. But the more your army grows, the more you stand to lose. No one should be able to get too far ahead of the field.

And before you say "But Omega will mass us all to bits", remember, this should only be done in combination with the limited turns, or those with too much time on their hands will have an insanely deadly weapon. With limited turns, no one can take on the entire game. And with dying miners, the largest stands to lose the most. That should return balance and make sure it's possible for newbs to catch up.
