As for mother ships I believe it should not follow the same system as the wep system we have for Trianed units y becuase everybody well buy the best Mships which voids the other Mships purposes
I propose a unknown ratio system
Let use gouald as a example since they are the best at Mships
Hataks
Death Gliders
Super MotherShips
let say the hidden ratio was 10:100:1 to acheive the maxuim umph out of ur mships power
so for every 10 hataks folled by 100 death gliders and 1 super mships u get more of a offence than maybe 5 smships or 1000 deathgliders.....u get the pictures. Like the Navy of today Battleshis needs to be escorted by destroyers and other ships because of there valnurbility if left alone. Like Airctaft carriers are easy pickings if u dont have viable Air support. A system like this would make it much better.

Another idea is another special attack called Boarding parties.
Uses 15 turns but adds a XX% chance u might capture ur enemies Mships even if suceeded into breaking into th enemies def there s chance u mght no get there Mships

yep, im all for a proper fleet system, were u can upgrade and build fleets, assigning men to each squadron of ships, and losing them shud their ship be destroyed! this could add a new edge for other players....maybe the introduction of terrotories with this fleet system should be introduced..and as for a mothership, well a super mothership, this shud be allowed depending on maybe size of terretory, amount of soldiers or maybe even a overall constant naq cost to represent the price of running such a ship, bt theyd need to be hard to get, otherwise it would strip away any advantage of having one...so for instance, maybe naq bidding, or even a donation..bt they def should be harder to get hold of...or even u cud customize your own mother shipd, i.e iving it upgraded weapons such as a anubis' main weapons, or maybe a large battery of laser turrets? and then to further this maybe the ability to create a space station...
(its amazing as i only just started tlking of this subject in the goalud forum)

I don't know if this has been said but have you not seen the episode when a MAjor Carter replicator comes to the base and says that the replicators have found a way to stop the ion cannon from destroying them and the asgard give the tauri a satillite to defend agianst rep but the Major Carter rep made by fifth finds a way to defend herself and fires the satilite at fifths ship witch shows a ture rep ship. O ya and kills fifth.
One more place to see the pis is when in came the Pic at the top with goul'd mother ships the big asgard head the stargate a rep spider in front of a part of the real ship then the X303.

I think ships would me a great idea. but u need to keep on upgrading to get more powerful ships and requirment could be somethink like this?

I have some basic ideas as well... i dont wana cross post... so il just say the most basic variation i can manage...
Races dont need balance, closest thing you can get is a luck modifier which the lower your forces are in strength/tech to enemy increases your chances of survival through various circumstances, but most of the time it doesnt include u winning.
Just because asgard have a few basic types doesnt mean others shouldnt have many types.
Gou'old have the Ha'taks, but thier mostly base ships, occasionally used in end all battles, but for the most part on planetary forces death glyders are used against trooops an wipin out air power ( other glyders & Mid range bombers )-
-those mid range bombers are used as primarily heavily powered weapons platforms attached to powerful engines to outspeed ha'tak and generally other's heavy defense/attack turrets/batteries which thier weak shields cant handle, also i assume the mid range bombers are extremely cheap and easy on power cores compared to ha'taks, i mean go find the shows where it shows em attackin prometheus and ha'taks.
the midrange would be able to avoid most heavy blasts and when in thier big squadrons able to reduce many satelite even the ancient ones, to rubble assuming they dont have decent sheilds which is rare for any shields.
THey also assist invasion an carry the troops and supplies/raids. And to somewhat are able to take out ha'taks, but by no way would this be one of those, everyone buys biggest ships, caus each ship has its own abilities, weaknesses and strengths involving abilitie to target quickly, evade, hyperspace speed, various generater upgrades, weapons upgrades, and even weapons that are the most powerless could be useless if their slow to recharge or fire or even thier tracking speed.
Take the Daniel Jackson, it has a capability, as a "science ship" others dont have, not the O'neill as far as i know nor the bilistner... it has the ability to utilize the energy wave that the anti replicater gun and the ancient planetary eradicater had, sense no doubt that is in reference to the asgards early attempts to use the same type of weapon that O'neill made with the ship computer in episode 2 in season 8 i belive.
Which means, it takes a long time to charge up, unless you get a new upgrade, say perhaps a new generator (uncontrolled naquadriah burst perhaps) or a buffer say somewhat similar to the zpm device but capable of not only drawing energy but storing it while your just wasting time, perhaps useing the uncontrolled naquadriah linked to it while traveling long distances.
More so it can be modified to disrupt any pattern, whether ship components, lifeforms(gouold) or replicaters to wipe em out in one wave, aolthough if you fail that one shot is doen an its time to leave quickly. Not to mention its a directional wave not all around so you couldnt nescesarily wipe out a wide spread fleet unless you had multiple daniels ( shudders).
