When a nerd posts his photograph online, he is judged by other nerds (most of the time, the occasional idiot who doesn't belong will appear). People who have a passion to be on the computer, and have fun playing the games, etc.

Women? They are just getting involved in the computer scene in a larger number, and most are too afraid to post photos for obvious reasons. How would you feel to be stalked or hit on for posting a photo?

Some women do that for attention though.

While you are correct, your post also scares any SGW woman who would have posted images off because she wouldn't want to seem like the type to post pictures purely for attention. Way to go, Noob.
