Symptoms are varied and often appear suddenly. Initial symptoms include high fever (at least 38.8°C (~102°F), severe headache, muscle, joint, or abdominal pain, severe weakness and exhaustion, sore throat, nausea, and dizziness. Before an outbreak is suspected, these early symptoms are easily mistaken for malaria, typhoid fever, dysentery, influenza, or various bacterial infections, which are all far more common and less reliably fatal.

Ebola goes on to cause diarrhea, dark or bloody stool, vomiting blood, red eyes (due to distention and hemorrhage of sclerotic arterioles), petechia, maculopapular rash, purpura, internal hemorrhage and external hemorrhage from all anatomical orifices, (i.e. the nose, mouth, anus, penis/vagina, eyes, ears) as well as incompletely healed injuries (e.g. needle-puncture sites, etc.) This is due to the virus having the ability to stop platelets from aggregating (clotting) and make cell membranes permeable. This leads to complications as such: The standard procedure to address the complication of lowering blood pressure is to introduce more fluids into the circulatory systems, yet this can result in the patient drowning from the fluids.

Other secondary symptoms include hypotension (less than 90 mm Hg systolic /60 mm Hg diastolic), hypovolemia, tachycardia, severe organ damage (especially the kidneys, spleen, and liver) as a result of disseminated systemic necrosis, and proteinuria.

The span of time from onset of symptoms to death (usually due to hypovolemic shock and/or multiple organ failure) is usually between 7 and 14 days. By the second week of infection, patients will either defervesce (the fever will lessen) or undergo systemic multiorgan failure.

Right when i was getting used to looking at the world through curve of a bubble. Oh well at least i won't slip and go rolling down any hills anymore, not that it wasn't fun.
