I don't quite know what to say. My brother died 3 weeks ago. He was in the ICU for a week and they family barely left his bedside. I remember sitting there with my parents and my sister thinking to myself that loosing a brother was bad, but if it had been my son in that bed instead of my brother it would have been almost unimaginably worse. I hope never to have to bury my son or the child that my wife is carrying.

Nothing we say will help. It is my hope that you feel the same as I do when I tell those trying to comfort me, "I will be alright, it might take time, but eventually I will be alright..."

Hold on to the happy times you shared. No words seem enough.

I can't even begin to find words for this, I don't think there are any. Treasure your memories, and hold on to your family and friends.

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

knowing no sorrow of this magnitude of my own, i have no idea of the pain that this can cause. however with my sympathy, i feel it is right to give this the "sticky" status. in memory of a daughter we really never knew.
