Not that Omega is that old, anyway. Still, I like to mention it.

Omega is very old, one of the oldest still running alliances in the game, just not the oldest ;)

I do remember their meteoric rise to power and their accumulation of many of the great players in the game way back when. And then they formed the GA and changed alliance politics forever.

I mean what would this game be without the incredibly complex political structure that could only come if there were actually very intelligent people steering many of the great alliances. Makes the game all the more compelling and fascinating looking back on it's growth.

Where else could you have most of the top alliances all fight eachother in one epic war? And then do it again every year lol?

Fine, we can always go older. I remember the grand OOC and TA wars, as well as my first commander and friend in sgw Amun Ra. Now those were fun times, sabbing and always trying to have the better covert. Of course, that can't go mentioned without bringing up The Saz. One of the first and greatest alliance leaders to grace sgw.

But you can't mention The Saz without mentioning Buck's outspoken and unfounded love for her either.

I've been so out of the loop over these three years I couldn't mention anything that would confirm my old school-ness. Oh.. Other then this old account. But that's not much to brag about I know. For my part, my most memorable moment is still my first conflict with Esker over Apophis' death.

I miss those old times so much.
I play sgw for a pretty long time, but I quit twice and during my absence the greatest things in the history of sgw happened ...

I remember my goal was get my raw UP to 2,5k and I wanted to do it within a week...then suddenly I farmed one guy for 250M naq and I got there immediately :D I was so happy ...

Then I remember when I wanted to buy covert level for 100M I opened like 20accounts in tabs and attacked and then bought the level...that were nerves eh....

I think when you didn't start playing sgw from the beginning you dont know what's it's all about and why it is currently like this and not the other way.

During my absence CoP CiA thinkgy happened and also eXtremer wars.

I can remember my friend telling me on MSN that eX is going on a crusade against Omega and I was so temped even though I didn't play back then.
I knew what omega was that time....wanted to create an account and help someway, but I was aware that would be no help to eX ....

This game has lost many great players who made this game as it is and more are leaving...

I'm just hitting my head I was absent during the greatest momments of sgw, where actually wars were fought for some really important purpose like end the era of CoP and not like today when we have a war for a month and then nothing happens...one side surrenders maybe pays a tribute, but maybe I just miss those old times too much that I don't see beauty in these current times.

But still...

Now I'm here and not intending to quit untill I'll be a part of something historical :) ... but I think those momments that I missed cant be replaced and nothing like this migh happen in the future :(

.... <3 old school :-D

If we have learned anything about humanity it is that history repeats itself. I'm sure you will get your chance to be part of something incredible.

And yes this game has lost many great players. So many friends we once knew that made this what it was and still is, but still new people have and will come to add their own flavor to the game. It's the way of things. Besides, alot of them can still be badgered on msn from time to time

Apophis ain't dead, if I recall right it's what ESKER said, and he was right!
Anubis and Apophis aren't dead  :sge

I remember when I joined I joined under _Apophis__ he had over 100 officers lmao! Half of allies to his alliances were his officers  ...I believe that gave a huge extra UP at that time (like 400 or 500 extra I believe).
I also remember war with TA when I had TA such as metal messiah and got_no_naq sabbing me and farming me, omg sabbing hurted alot at that time!
I also remember when mouth of tokra had an account and I wanted to farm him and he sabbed all my weapons, damn sabbing was hurtfull at that time.
I remember when admin called himself Overlord of tokra and managed to spy DOOM LORD successfully who had rank 1 covert and everyone wondered who was this overlord, seeing date of creation of forum account, it was admin for sure!
I was in eXtremer vs Omega crusade, as Omega was at war with AK and hmmm what was last UTA's name?

i miss those days life was really easy in COAA

i really have to hand all i know about this game to my first commander magni who helped me along with alot of stuff

the one thing i remember that sticks is omega going after nebulator and absolutely obliterating him lol

the game back then was awesome i still cant believe how many old alliances still exist 2day true credit to the dynamic of the game that admin has created
