It's the connotation of the word. If I call someone an b*tch it means they are a female dog, but in society it has a different meaning.

Good. You are arguing that the argument of repulsion or reminiscence of bad experiences can be extended to ANY nasty event or experience in the English language. I can understand that.. however, there is the singular notion of 'reasonable censure', one limits their censure so as to prevent constraining the language itself, and bereaving it of it's prime intention, the effective and accurate transference of thoughts. All is well and good, but there is a limit to the amount of understanding a censor has to display.
And that is the entire crux of this discussion.. some people would censure everything.. others nothing. The median is best.. but hard to specify.

That's why I think it's not right to use it.
Kill is very vague, you can kill goods, you can kill your computer (not that I suggest you do it ppl!) but rape has another first meaning and the barbarian-pirate sense is most of time left behind the primary sense, perhaps because the second sense has more an historical sense?
And what marijuana has that offensive? It's not well for health, but so does the alcohol we all love lmao (generalizing? whoo cares
!) even if first one is forbidden in most countries minus NL and Spain if I'm right.

My main point about all of this was that it is a sick word to use in a game. I don't consider 'kill' being a sick word.

It is a term used in many games to usually describe completely 'owning' or destroying someone. I once played a game where you built a character and leveled it by attacking others. In that game there was a 'rape limit'(how many times you could attack before they 'phased' or hit their limit.) Now it wasn't like you were sexually assaulting the other characters, considering you fought with armour and shields and axes and stuff, but it was still a term used.
In this game it would be comparable to massing someone I guess. Not really a term I have ever used personally, but it is one used in many online games.

Then I still wonder why people complain about the word rape while the allow a lot of nude sigs/avatars pot, alcohol, and stuff like that. Personnaly if you dont wanna see it stop using internet and go live in a cave. The world evolves words are used more and differently through al these years. But hey lets all go live in a cave and pretend its 10.000 BC good movie btw

FS, I don't see how alcohol in itself can be as bad as rape, it's how people use it that make it bad, not the alcohol itself...we can't say the same for the other word...
I used to be against the censor of things, but I evolved from the swearing dude I was to something more civilized...
I'm against censor of everything, but there are things that HAVE to be censored!

There you go, there you have it. Kill is gone, rape is gone. Oh heaven forbid we offend anyone.
Understand the english language. It is a board the speaks english. Be studious and say "why did that man say he raped my account" "How he stick penis in computer" Go online to dictionary and figure out what rape means because obviously someone is not sticking his male part inside of a computer screen and having sexual relations with your account.
I speak English. Rape is a word that is English. If rape is used properly then so be it. It is a word. Condemn the actions, not the words.
