in ascention it doesn't pay off to pursue ranks (except if you're fremen and obsessed with your CS

) since the more you have, the more you'll loose ... and sooner or later you WILL loose it... so the only thing that you should aim to have up there is a rank 1 CER (if you can estimate that) and high physical levels ... it's the criteria that should judge a good account

My strike is in the top 50 at around 4quad.
Might as well be a fly swat thanks to the ridiculous 60-130% rank thing.
Most people I target have a defense lower than my strike (obv), but I can't hit them, because I the 60% modifier. I wish it was just value vs value.

Do like everyone else mate, sell before turn change, buy back after and have 130% rank mod all the time.

The trillions are correct for covert and assassin. Although I saw someone with more then 800 today.
I also assassinated a 42+ defense.
The days are just packed.

900 tril in assassination would make anyone immune from any attempts .... the problem is that you would need a defense to match that and at the moment it's impossible to do that as even a massive defense of let's say 60+ quad can be massed.

Maybe if we whine hard and long enough admin will listen

.... after all he put in many other updates who where much less needed.
A simple solution to snipers would be to base the rank modifier on something that can not be so easily changed ..... the ratio of attacks between the players for example.
So if between players A and B last 10 "encounters" player A has attacked 10 times he gets 60% ..... even with their higher attack levels compared with decent defense levels (1300 vs 1150) the drop from 130% to 60% would force the snipers to train alot more planets.
There are plenty of defenses over 15 quad (over 100) .... if those can be beat by 200k super attackers with 130%, with 60% the situation changes as they would need 400k. That's 2 bil planets and even fremen with his monster CER would need a while to get them back.
What also need to be changed is the fact that the rank modifier must not affect how much you take from someone .... hitting at 60% means you almost never get 100%, but hitting at 130% gets you 100% even with 12 turns in many many occasions.

Its been told to admin when he released it originally yet nothing has been done about it yet, I have for the last year or so just ignored them and banked more frequently. Take getting hit now as part of the game, its the snipers game now as it was Mojo/STI e.t.c's game oh so long ago.
If you can be bothered to become a sniper then you should do that instead.
