Frankly I think the majority recognised it as a gag... and imho once it was out, it had to run its course, authority blowing it out of the water and surpressing it would only have given it weight an got efven more ppl serioulsy thinking it was the trouth.
As for preventing it from getting out in the first place... tis tokra were talking about heh, keep it real ppl.
As far as I see it it`s a big lose-lose for forum administration from the second tokra (or whoever) first got the idea...
Saying that, the prank was in extremley bad taste... sure it ruffle mega feathers, big hit as far as that goes, but the sideffects are not exactly negligable heh...
Anyho lets all calm down a bit heh. A big round of appologies and how about we put this unfortunate incident behind us... til next years april fools
Would be the lesser of two evils and with the days end, the prank would have been exposed without the damages done as there were people in the position to do that who were aware of it who could have blown it earlier but chose not to.
But I do see how it could have been misintrepreted by members of the community, especially if others invovled refused to give up the gig and cried foul or capitialised on the locking as a vindication of their allogations.

Were any attacks made by the hacked accounts? If so, was action is being taken regarding the use of someone's account without their knowledge attacking another?

Apparently if its a hoax meaning the 3 accounts was under the user controll all the time or they gave their login info to Tok'ra so then we end up on well hmm guess.
I still say if they all 3 where in on the hoax. Almost38, Judo and JMX (and JMX i am sad as i never thought you would do this) should get perm banned if they where in on this but meh my personal oppinion as i didnt find this tastefull or anything.

poor jedi lmao.. he wont be getting his account back unless he gives the admin a very very VERY very very good reason.. cause by the looks of it, the admin was rly pissed when he posted stuff on the fourm.. about this matter.

Not at all Nimras! lol..Auriel is right... I dont think I would ban anyone who has not already been so. Tok'ra's account would have been banned about 12 hours before, the entire thing would not have been allowed to get going... lol..id turn from Dr Perry Cox to Forum Palladin over night. Alas though, somethings are not worth the position.

I read and followed the 'joke', but didn't really believe it.
I guess I can see what they were trying to do but I just didn't find it funny
On the other hand, the suggested Omega-Vs.-DDE-war idea would have been entertaining, pity.. oh well, maybe next year...
