And worthiness over a thing on web forums? Hmmm K.
as a representative of on organisation(this forum) one has to be worthy.
Face it mods are above normal users. So if a mod is a dodgy person, why on earth are normal users getting banned for posting dodgy/suspicious stuff.
Hmmm lol if we talk about it, about called "dodgy" people for various reasons, becoming mods, hasn't it always been that way a way or another?

Nobody is perfect, it's unfair, but God decided so!

And she got nominated AND elected lol!
So she got chosen by the community, NOT by the mods :p
bush got elected too...
i mean realy.. at some point you gotta set some standards... and say.. you can decide.. but within reason.

Yes but people didn't know bush well when they voted for him, those who voted auriel knew what she did, as some people don't miss an occasion to remind it...so everyone knows/knew/will know. :p
that can be countered with that generaly on elections ppl who vote are usualy "maturer" seeing as there is an age limit and so on...
while here we have quite a bit of single brain cells organisems walking arround...

To answer one of Mato's earlier questions - the only requirement to become a race mod is that you are successfully chosen by the community through a vote.
As for the other comment about Admins being able to remove her - yes, they could, but then people would cry foul for Mod/Admin corruption because the person they voted for was 'unfairly' removed. You see? The Forum staff just cannot win!
It makes me laugh that Auriel has been a race mod since the end of January, and now that the name changes colour people start complaining and/or jumping to conclusions.
And for information - just so you're all aware - the race mods only have jurisdiction over ther own race boards and cannot access the mod forums.
Oh - and MOVED.

It's not the age that matters lol...people who didn't know where France and Australia are located on famous CNN live video were likely to have voted lmao!
And then about italic part, they wouldn't have "skills" to both pick someone little round box and then click vote.

And clarkey, this wasn't meant to make people pissed lol...oh well sorry then if it did!

Well I personally didn't know Auriel was a race mod back in January. i didn't know until I saw her name turn blue. That's probably because I don't ever bother to look at the race forum cause I don't see the point. So don't assume that everyone knew she was a race mod back in January.

Yes, it is the community who choose the nominees.
And, if you read the thread that was highlighted early on in this topic, it links to the race mod poll - which was at the end of January.
Additionally, if you don't visit the race boards, then does it really matter? And like I said, the race mods only have jurisdiction over their specific race board, and cannot access the mod forums. And frankly, the fact that people did not know she was a race mod since January is hardly on my head - I had to check the aforementioned highlighted thread myself to make sure - but equally, it is their lack of knowing the facts that has led to the current round of ranting. I'd assume all of those who visit the race forum concerned were well aware.
The name turned blue because a decision was made to do this by the forum staff - personally, I suggested it be a different colour from regular mods - to distinguish between the two and to avoid pointless threads like this.
Furthermore, if people are truly bothered by this, then do as one of the Forum staff suggested earlier, and complain through the proper channels - respectfully, I would suggest that only those of the pertinent race would have any real right to complain though.

Race mods election worked like this (if I remember right):
Everyone from the certain race could post one name, than the 2 ppl with the most votes made their way in. So the mods didnt even put up names to a vote in fact.

nice to see wolf taking some charge really...lol.
The forum staff finally seem to be in some order... its like old Semper said all along. You dont like the way things work, make a proper complaint in the right channels otherwise no game.
What I dont understand though, is why this topic is still open. The issue was avoided months and months ago when the polls were in the actualy general section. Just because a few strays have only now realised what happened is no reason to allow this pointless and mere trouble causing thread to continue.
